After completing the walk from alma bridge into paloona dam we made our way over to this cache to get it off our to do list.
With the rain we thought traffic would be to a minimum but we were wrong, parking further up the road and walking back we spotted the cache as we approached ground zero and seeing that we were looking in the wrong place last time.

Today with the weather not very nice we decided to go for a drive up through kindred to towards the castra falls and then come back down through top gawler road. in total we attempted 10 caches in total with 9 finds and 1 did not find.
this was our eighth cache for the day, unfortunately this was our did not find for the day, we searched around the lone post that was showing zero on our garmin gps but we couldn't find it, we searched high and low for this cache and we just couldn't find any sign of the cache.

After a DNF on this cache previously, a slasher came through since then and now the cache is available instead of walking through waist high grass

Hi sirius
After visiting Ulverstone, we drove out to this cache
Sainted at 1215 hours on a nice sunny morning here
A quick find was had here after examining the wrong post first
Lots of blackberries that thankfully had been slashed recently
LOVE the day this cache was hidden as it is my birthday
Great views too
TFTC and cheers

My finds: GCA 4031; GC 3730; Tot 7461

Found on a caching run down the coast. Grass had been mowed so access was easier.

Well, the hint item is surrounded in long grass. But after poking a bit I decided to go up there - only to be bitten by a jack jumper
Lots of long grass, poppy field opposite - many reasons not to hang around

Was out for a drive in this neck of the woods and decided to head back to town this way and grab these 3 caches along the way. Had to be careful where I parked, but managed to get all 3 without any issues at all.
Thanks ST...made a neat little drive back.

Getting up to this one was a bit of a challenge as the prickles meant you couldn't put your hands down on the steep but short bank. Great views from GZ of our first home down the valley near the dams. After finding the cache we drove down Lees Road to have a closer look at the 'old place'.
Love the roadside flowers planted and maintained by the McCulloch family here and what a great job they do of the little cemetery here too.
Thanks.

Having travelled up to have a day out with 2y'stassies. We set out to find the new Gawler and Kindred caches and hopefully pick up 6 new joint FTF's with the 2y's. A great day out with good friends was rewarded with a find and a blank logbook, so off to a good start 2 from 2. We claimed joint {FTF} with 2y's We then moved off to find the next one. Thanks sirius. Agree with 2y'stassies would not like to do this in the summer with the canes in full growth. It might be a bit scratchy.
After finding GA10675 Tweeting Cowboys we joined Grumbligrot on their mission to find the recently published Top Gawler and Kindred Spirits caches. There had not been any logs of these caches so we had high hopes of six more first to finds.
It was a beautiful, clear, sunny winters day, a perfect day to spend outside caching with friends. We enjoyed our trip through the country between Gawler and Kindred. The views across the country side and out to the coast were splendid.
We found a safe parking spot a little way further along the road from the hide. It was a scramble up the bank avoiding the blackberries before we reached the object we thought held the cache but alas when we looked up we could see the cache attached to the object to the north so we had to descend and scramble up again. On checking our GPS we found the coordinates were spot on - should have checked first before scrambling up the bank the first time.
Again the log book was blank so we will claim a joint {FTF} with Grumbligrot at 12:20. We were glad we were not trying to find this one in the Summer when the prickles will be growing strongly.
Container and contents were in excellent condition.
Thanks Sirius Tas for another cache with a great view. Again take care when parking even though this is a country road there is plenty of through traffic.
