With three events and a weekend off I decided on heading over to Canberra to attempt the ‘Most cache types in a day challenge’. After arriving Friday night and having a great night sleep, it was morning and I headed off to find the caches between the motel and the first event. It was a great drive across the country side picking up the finds plus the caches at both parts of the rest area where the first event was held. A fun little event for everyone to meet and greet before heading into Canberra for the CITO. Next, it was time for the CITO plus claiming the find on nearby virtual cache. After the CITO, I was up to 7 cache types already. Then, it head off to find a WIG and LB to add the next two types to the list before heading to the final event. At the final event, I had a delicious Chicken Snitty and spoke all things Geo with the other attendees. Finally it was time to get a mystery cache to make it 11 for the day. Just before heading back to my motel I passed by the GCA History series along the Anzac Parade. I may head out and find some caches around Queanbeyan tonight before heading to bed. TB visit on all caches. I would like to thank all CO’s of the caches I found today and for allowing them to bring enjoyment to me and the rest of the caching community. TFTC’s and TFTE’s
Left straight from work to get to Canberra for the weekend. Had hoped to be here before dark, but that didn't happen so was lucky it was quiet over here and I could make some quick finds.

Goulburn trip January 6th 2019. I decided to come up to Goulburn to try and grab the caches that were ready to be found. The trip up Mount Grey was the highlight. A good day and it was not too hot.

As we have been travelling along this piece of highway between Goulburn and Canberra our cache hunt has taken us to nearly all the rest areas. Some are extensive with interpretation plaques, VC recipient information, shelters, toilets and very beautifully manicured gardens while others are just sealed pull overs with a rubbish bin or two. This rest area was one of the former.
We had the area to ourselves so made a quick find, sign and return before reading of Anderson's heroic efforts.
Thanks for this cache Minniek we enjoy any excuse for a rest stop if it involves a cache hunt.

#GA2106 - 13:25; It was a cool, blustery day and rain was threatening, but undeterred I headed out to collect this series of caches as I work towards another dZ challenge. I made my way off the highway and down to the parking area near GZ. There were a few muggles about today, but luckily GZ was well obscured and I was able to retrieve the cache and sign the log without interruption Another one down and off in search of more. After a drive up Mt Stromlo and a bit of fun with the logs, it was time to head out to Lake George and grab these new ones as well. Thought I might in for a first to find or two, but alas Mr and Mrs Bunny certainly beat me to them. No problems though as it was neat day for a drive out here. All caches found without issue.
Thanks for a few more caches Minniek

Out with Just a cacher for a trip to Goulburn today and decided to grab this one on the way. A quick find during a blustery day as it looked like the lake was steaming.

Black Bunny and Just a cacher drove to Goulburn, finding a few caches on the way. The weather was very weird, with sort of misty foggy rain over the 'lake'. We found a few empty logs.
Joint *FTF* with Black Bunny.
Thanks for the cache, Minniek!
