Description
Phonetic Alphabet - Lima
A nice simple series of caches to help boost your numbers (and mine!!). Scattered around Canberra in groups you may choose to grab them all at once - which will help you towards a number of dragonZone Trophies based on finds per day of the week/month - or maybe do them one a day which will help your dragonZone streak ! Either way have fun and BYO Pen !
The 26 code words in the NATO phonetic alphabet are assigned to the 26 letters of the English alphabet in alphabetical order so that critical combinations of letters and numbers can be pronounced and understood by those who exchange voice messages by radio or telephone regardless of language barriers or the quality of the communication channel. In other words so that messages can be understod without the similarities of the sounds in letters such as b c d e g p t v being responsible for misunderstandings.
The series will consist of:
Alpha - GA10698

Last one for the (current) series - bring on the rest of the alphabet !!
Thanks minniek !!
Thanks,
When the rained eased we headed to the appropriate hide and found we had to cross a fast flowing river between the sealed section of the road and the grassed area. Dry shoes and socks coming up after we find the next cache.
When we went to retrieve the cache we were confronted by a fiercely growing blackberry cane. We used a walking pole to hold back the prickly canes so that we could reach the cache container. The next finder would be well advised to bring a cutting tool to make access safe as the rain followed by warmth will bring a real growth spirt to this fiercesome cache guardian.
Cache and conents were in good condition dispite the weather and the guardian.
Thanks for this cache Minniek and for the challenge of dealing with a fiercely prickly cache guardian..
Thanks minniek
