The Cathedral of Christ the King, Ballarat, is the cathedral of the diocese.
The cathedral building is constructed of grey stone in the English Gothic style. Construction began in 1854 only two years after the Town of Ballarat was founded and just three years after the discovery of gold. It was finished in 1868.

A quick stop here as the Eucharist was about to start in 10 minutes and we didn't want to be caught up in whatever that was.

A break in Ballarat and a couple of caches. Got to be least impressive of all the cathedrals we have visited so far.

Caching in the Ballarat area today and this cache was on our target list. Found our way to GZ and took the required photo. TFTC
We arrived in Ballarat late in the afternoon and before the sun set, we visited the two cathedrals. The required photo of Mrs y'stassie standing outside the Cathedral of Christ The King has been added to the Gallery. Thanks Team MavEDtJu for the cache and the series.
Came into town for a concert at The Maj. Had an early dinner and noticed a couple of nearby caches waiting for a *FTF* . Had plenty of time to kill and it was good to walk off the dinner too. Thank you for bringing us here MavEtJu. Pic attached.
