Description

My attempt at a Gadget cache.

All that is required is H2O and there is normally an abundant supply at the creek even in summer as long as you bring a container to put it in.

Tube is on the west side of the creek but approaching from that side increases the terrain to more like '4.5'.

There is a somewhat mushy path along the west side of the creek that leaves the limestone path near the park at Brockman Avenue.

Go along this path to about 25m north of GZ and then cross to the east side until you are near GZ and then return to the west side.

(There are blackberry bushes on the east side of the creek near GZ.)

UPDATE:

As the area has a whole load of new growth right at GZ hiding the stump the difficulty has been upped to '3' and the terrain to '4'

Having recently found GC's Bird Poo Island & In The Lake I was motivated to put my booties on again and re-try find this one. Arrived at posted coordinates (photo attached) and began my widened search effort through mud, water & many reeds. Description and prior logs gave clues which direction to head. Eventually found the well-hidden pipe approx 7m away. Struck a technical hitch: despite plugging up the holes and top overflowing with water, the stubborn container would not arise to the top, perhaps stuck or in need of a cork. So I put on my MacGyver hat and came up with a practical solution utilizing hole at bottom.
Thank you TBH for the challenge!!

Found with the family.

Area seems to have changed quite a bit since the cache was hidden. GZ was overgrown with blackberry bush but has now been cleared out a bit and the stump that the cache was attached to is now visible. However watch the rest of the blackberry bushes on the east side of the stream as they have expanded to next to the now overgrown path down that side.

Had a bit of trouble with the water but soon refilled from the stream and had the cache in hand. Log was signed and cache returned.

Thanks tbh for the gadget cache.

Out with the family to check on this cache. I wanted to play in the water but wasn't allowed too even when getting the cache container out.

Lots of red berries nearby but I wasn't allowed to get them either.

Thanks tbh for the cache.

Out with the family to check on this cache. Nasty blackberry bushes nearby without any ripe ones so was disappointed.

We had trouble finding the spot but once it was found the cache was soon obtained and the log signed.

Thanks tbh for the cache.

There is walk trail on west bank of creek, unsuitable for bike. Under the trees my GPS saying closest 5m so enlarged circle around that but could not locate hint nor pipe. My shoes got wet & muddy crossing the creek, wish I'd brought flipflops.
