Description
A rock in time saves nine - Western Ring Path
The Western Ring Path is the continuation of the Western Freeway Path along the Western Ring Road and provides opportunity for some walking or cycling along a nicely made asphalt path way.
You are looking for something that might contain a bison tube for this geocache.
If you have approached from the south you have been this before. If you have approached from the north then there is another of these a little bit further south. This is probablyh one of the more suitable of these containers for the location it is hidden. It blends in quite well.

Logs
Today we started with the Western Ring Path series of caches then headed over to Cairnlea to find some more in that area. We had selected 36 caches to find and this was one on our list. Unfortunately, we could only manage 24 finds, the rest were DNF"S.
Cache and contents were dry and in good order.
Thanks caughtatwork.

Arrived at GZ and looked in the obvious area however it took a couple of minutes and a good second look to make the find. Blends in well this one. Log was soon signed, the cache replaced and it was for one of two more before re-joining the traffic.
Thanks again C@W....

Well.
This wasn't the day I'd planned, but family matters had turned the weekend on its head. Between sleeping in after the fun of caching in the dark until so late it was almost early, and staying at home to referee while the better half ran some errands, it wasn't until mid afternoon that I rolled out the gate.
Finally logging my first cache for the day after crossing the Whitten Bridge, I continued anticlockwise around the Ring Road, bagging 42 finds, and a handful of DNFs.
Thanks, C@W... today's haul has gone a long way toward my ambition of getting my GA logs over 10% of the GC total.

As she rejoined the main path Mrs Y'stassie noticed an older man on the path just ahead of her. She had not noticed him before and was unsure where he had come from. He was behaving a little oddly; walking along the path a few metres then turning as if to see where she was the scrutinising the nearby grass before moving on. He then paused as if to wait for her to catch up. As the next hide was well away from the path she decided to go cross country to the cache hide area where she reapplied her sunscreen, had a drink, sent a text to Mr Y'stassie then retied her shoe lace while retrieving the exceptionally well hidden container. She didn't even check the hide for wrigglies before grabbing the cache container.
All the time she could see the man who had left the path in the opposite direction and was scrutinising the fence every now and again he turned and looking pointedly in her direction.
After replacing the container, this time tying the other lace, she was relieved to see Mr Y'stassie heading her way after finding the next cache in line.
The strange man had returned to the path and picked up pace when he saw Mr Y'stassie. Mr Y'stassie said good morning as they passed but the man mumbled incoherently and kept walking. When he was a short distance away he turned and watched until we met up and started walking towards him when he moved off. He appeared to be Asian.
It wasn't until we started to log this cache that we noticed that cathlud and Princess Fiona appear to have encountered him several caches previous to this one. Not sure if there is any problem here but would advise future cachers, particularly lone women, to be alert.
Thanks for the cache and this instalment in the Western Ring Road caches Caughtatwork. We've certainly appreciated the chance to stop and walk as we travel to and fro from the Spirit.

I am staying with my auntie 'cathlud' this weekend and we love the Western Ring Path caches. She says that they are good for me to find. I enjoy using her GPS, reading the cache descriptions and then searching for the caches.
This cache was well hidden but I found it after my auntie pointed it out to me.
Thank you for placing this cache for us to find.

My niece (PrincessFiona) is unexpectedly staying with me for the next four days. We had a few hours free-time this morning and I noticed that another section of the Western Ring Path of caches had been recently published. We have previously enjoyed this series so we made the 40 minute drive from home, to spend 70 minutes caching and then 40 minute drive back.
I let my niece use my GPS and find the caches. I sign the log (she can't write small enough on the narrow logs) and she rehides the cache before we are off to the next one.
Another of the few places where we met some muggles. Two elderly Asian ladies out for a quiet walk would have wondered why we were so interested in this location. The quality of the concealment device certainly had me taking a second glance just to make sure I picked up the correct object.
Thank you caughtatwork for this cache and continuing series.

#GA2064 - 13:13; In Melbourne with the geohoney for a few days to visit the geoteen, and today the girls had a day planned around appointments, retail and the art gallery, so I was off a caching again! The plan for today was to collect eleven new caches along the Western Ring Path which have appeared since my last visit in July. Parked not too far from the start of this section of the trail and headed off on foot. Managed to collect eleven caches for eleven *FTF* as I made my way along the bikepath. I checked the hints for a couple of the caches where there were muggles close by and I wanted to speed up the hunt to avoid scrutiny, but the majority were easily located and the coords were spot on the whole way along. I relied on the name for this one and wasn't disappointed when I spotted the well hidden cache. TFTC caughtatwork
