Description

ICEM - Seymour - Goulburn

This cache is part of the I've Cached Everywhere, Man (ICEM) project, a series of Geocaching Australia caches in Australia.   The series had it's first airing in 2011 and now in 2018 Geocching Australia is promoting the series again in the hope the number of caches in the series can be increased.

The series is made up of the locations made famous by Lucky Star in the song "I've been everywhere" in 1962, lyrics by Geoff Mack.

Seymour is located about 1hr from Melbourne, just off the Hume Highway. The cache has been in a small park, close to a piece of military hardware, and at the start of Goulburn Walk. Please make sure the cache is well covered.

We weren't optimistic about finding the cache after seeing the floodwater damage in Seymour.. And the fact the phone was taking us where there was nowhere to hide a cache didn't help. So thanks for a great hint to steer us straight. But then finding the cache confused us all over again... two logbooks... with our name already in one. We're presuming Jay by the Tank (which was hidden on the tank when we found it) belongs to the one already signed. So, two caches in one container....? A bargain in any language. As owners of 10 ICEM caches in Tasmania we always check for these caches when we are travelling. When we were checking Seymour and surrounding areas we noticed 3 ICEM hides. They were added to our must look for list. This was the second ICEM we looked for today.

Once we found a way to the object guarding the container we were able to make a quick find of a well hidden, good sized container.

Thanks for this ICEM cache WazzaandWenches. We are pleased to report that the well stocked container is in good condition.

Staying in Creswick for a few days Smile

Today I was heading to Corowa (NSW) to catch up with family and friends and to attend the Beechworth Event.

Had a couple of Adventure Labs on my radar today but then detoured via some back roads letting my GPS be my guide.
Thanks for the cache WazzaAndWenches and for bringing me here. I have seen many wonderful sights and taken many photos around this fantastic area Clapping

A quick stop today as we head through Seymour on our way north. There were 9 new caches to attempt that weren't here on our last visit.
This one was spotted as we approached so after signing the log book we covered it with a piece of bark to make it less conspicuous to muggles.
Then it was off to tackle the cache on the tank!!!!
Thanks.

Thanks for placing another ICEM cache here in Seymour.
We were First to Find here at 8.59am this morning.
Cache returned and well covered again.
I realise there are other GA caches in the vicinity but they will have to wait till next time as we have a deadline to join a cruise down the Maribyrnong River today, to celebrate Muggle Hubby’s sister’s birthday.
The area here is very familiar and to me. Sixty plus years ago we used to sneak across from Seymour High School to have a smoke on the river bank near here. Those were the days!
Thanks for the memories.
