Description

Chipping Norton Lake is a lake located at Chipping Norton, New South Wales. It is a part of the Georges River system. Chipping Norton Lake is managed by Liverpool City Council and is an artificial lake. The lake is an important recreational area for Liverpool, Canterbury-Bankstown Council and Fairfield City Council.

Watercraft are permitted on Chipping Norton Lake. however, a strict speed limit of eight knots applies. Good job as it is a fair way to swim & bull sharks have been spotted in the lakes previously.

The cache is located on Daruk Island which is nearby to Bulba-Gong and Crescent Island.

Have a fun time.

Don't know how accurate the coords are as the GPSr was jumping around a bit while there

Paddling over from the other nearby island, I'd been here before, and knew of the steep sides to this island. I landed in the leeward area so my boat was not blown away and hauled it up the steep sided banks. Wow, this island sure has changed and the prickly pear cactus are really beginning to take over. It really difficult to walk through the middle of the island now. I picked my way through to GZ without getting jabbed but it was tricky. I had no problems finding the cache. It's kind of sitting there in plain sight. That Id not surprise me but finding a blank logbook did.
Woo hoo.... FTF...... but hang on a minute what conspiracy is going on here, and why has this cache been claimed as found when the logbook is clearly blank. I have photographic proof of the blank logbook and my stake on a FTF.. shall remain... unless there is some other reasonable explanation.
Thanks for the paddle cache, my favourite kind..... be interesting to find out why the cache was claimed as found when it clearly was not.

That was a bit of fun. A climb up the steep northern end of the island, and there it was at the base of a tree. thank you Sir Phil.
