Description
Erosion controls are used in natural areas, agricultural settings or urban environments.
In urban areas erosion controls are often part of stormwater runoff management programs required by local governments.
The controls often involve the creation of a physical barrier, such as vegetation or rock, to absorb some of the energy of the wind or water that is causing the erosion.
They also involve building and maintaining storm drains.
Some odd rocks in this area. You only need to find the right one.

Following the statement from the Victorian Premier announcing a Level 2 Shutdown due to COVID - 19, I have decided to temporarily disable this geocache.
I will review this decision on a regular basis over the coming weeks / months and reassess it as needs be.
Stay safe everyone, see you on the other side.

I approached gz and there was a lady with a dog sitting at the picnic table. I tried to wait her out but she was a tough one; sitting there doing utterly nothing at all. I wandered over to the drain to have a look and disturbed a major ant nest, eggs and all, underneath a brick. Finally, I out-toughed the lady and she and the dog came to life and left the area. I followed the GPS and after searching two incorrect places, turned up a cache in a unexpected locale. TFTC n0w0rries

#GA2543 - 14:15; After driving down to Melbourne to bring the geostudent and her friend back for uni, Sol de lune flew in to join me for a days caching and the return journey to Canberra. Our plan was to make finds in as many of the dragonZones in which we were yet to make a find as we could. Today the plan was to head south to Kingston, then on to Frankston and the Mornington Peninsula before heading back north to Monash and a few other zones before wrapping up the day in Stonnington. After completing our southern run, we were now back in the city at Forest Hill Reserve. DNFd a moveable nearby, but managed a quick find on this one. TFTC n0w0rries

Continuing our run around a few east Melbourne suburbs, this little park was the next stop for LuckyL10n and I.
After missing one of the nearby moveables, this was our first find and at once in the general area, the cache was soon spotted. Log was signed, cache replaced and we headed in search of a couple more.
Thanks n0w0rries.......cache is all good.

Great little area this, I’d like to rename it “GCA Reserve”! Fantastic to have a new cache near home, and a challenge too! The gps refused to settle today, so my search area was fairly broad. No matter, I made a beeline for some likely candidates - but they were no good. I stood on the outside looking in at all those beautiful rocks and pondering - do I clamber, poke, use a magnet ...? And what’s that clue telling me anyway? I switched apps hoping to get a clearer signal, and for a brief moment there was some clarity. Wait, what!? No, but yes! Pretty tricksy n0w0rries - great job! Signed the log and left another odd rock - a homemade one. TFTC and Happy New Year 2018

I decide to come look for this new cache before the main Christmas madness set in. I was distracted by all the other rocks for a second but the GPS knew better. Quickly find and signed and replaced with a couple of swaps.
Thanks n0w0rries for the caching fun today.
Merry Christmas and a safe and happy New year.
