Description
Glenbrook Lagoon is a small lagoon located in Glenbrook at the foot of the Blue Mountains NSW. Although bordered by houses on all 4 sides, There are roads around it and bush with walking tracks in. The lagoon has a variety of birdlife around it and usually there are ducks near the picnic area. There is a track all the way around although if water in the lagoon is high, the track can disappear under water. You can walk around the road and still head in at a couple of open areas. To log this virtual just take a photo at Glenbrook Lagoon and post it with your log. Old photos of the lagoon are also welcome. (Although we have never seen any slitheries there, it is best to keep an eye out anyway.)

Glenbrook Lagoon is a great place for a walk. The amount of birds around changes a lot and last time I went to birdwatch, there were still a few Purple Swamphens.
Well today I needed an excuse to go caching and the Australian ones at that. So, I needed to go to Bunnings to pick up some plumbing pieces and Penrith was the go. So, from Penrith I came up to find a couple of caches and this virtual. This is a very nice place to visit, I really enjoyed it, thanks for bringing me here today

Took the kids down to the lagoon for a quick cache...well, I had to drop the geoson at Maccas and thought a quick detour on the way. TFTC

Headed down to grab this one after a find on the nearby trad. Although I been in the mountains about 7 times caching, I haven't been in here before and so was interesting to check it out.
Thanks again Thomo31.....always enjoy checking out what the locals like...

#GA2957 - 09:05; Day 2 of a big bonus caching adventure in the Blue Mountains with Sol de lune. After a quiet night in Katoomba, we are heading back down the mountain for home. After a stop in Springwood, we have reached Glenbrook and are headed in towards the Lagoon. Stopped off and grabbed another cache on the way past, then on to the lagoon shore. Interesting area, thanks for bringing us here. TFTC thomo31

A plan to walk from Blaxland station to Glenbrook via the Lagoon and a visit to the 'Pale Fungus' at the same time.
However the 'Pale Fungus' decided to meet me at Blaxland station instead for a long overdue Cappuccino (And very nice it was too!). After a while he went to do some grocery shopping and I went on to the Lagoon. Sorry Sue but your cache played second fiddle to the meet and greet the 'Pale Fungus' event.
Still I thought that perhaps a shot from the South shore might just be a bit different.
Greetings from both of us and thanks for the cache.
