The posted co ordinates are your starting point. Parking is available at the car park nearby.
From this starting point looking south you will see your 1st marker - Follow the trail uphill until you come to 2 markers which indicate you are close to the cache. From this point you will need to locate the final single marker to reveal the nearby cache.
Best attempted at night as this is a shared track with mountain bikers.
Cache contains log book, pencil and swaps

silly us we did this night cache second and their second cache first. that's confusing. when we reached the car park the rain was leasing and stopped until we got home, that was good. everything at night time seems soo far away, felt strange looking up a bike trail and searching for tacks but that is what we were doing, it seemed they were getting further apart the further we went, we were glad to see the two markers, to know the end was near. nice night case, would do it again if I had to TFTC TNLN log dry.

Thanks for another night cache Tassie Trekkers. We did your second night cache last night, and your first one tonight!
We had just finished dinner and there was some light drizzle, so we decided to drive to the car park and see what the weather was doing. The drizzle had become lighter and actually stopped whilst we made our way along the track. I don't like looking for caches at night, but sort of glad we did this one at night as I'm pretty sure we would be dodging MTB'ers during the day. The markers led the way, and eventually the final marker appeared. A nice quick find and we added our names to the log. Glad I had someone who enjoys venturing out at night time to share the fun with. As today was the winter solstice, either tonight or last night was the longest night of the year - this was a great way to mark the occasion.

My second night cache, I love these things. I did it tonight on the spur of the moment, using just my half flat phone for a torch, praying that it didn’t go flat as it would have been an interesting walk back to the car with no light

Hi Trekkers,
After finding all the caches nearby thought it about time to try for this one.
Arrived at 0615...nice and dark....first marker spotted and on the way.
A bit eerie caching at night but the markers were placed just right and in no time arrived at the double marker.
A quick flash around soon revealed the final marker and the cache was soon found.
Absolutely loved this night cache....best cache I've done for awhile...a ripper.
Thoroughly enjoyed the hunt...many thanks....cheers ST.

I had been meaning to find this cache for some time as I have been exploring this area by finding lots of caches but never there at the right time. At last the time was right and I got to the trailhead and wondered which way to go...put on my head torch and my way was lit up...off I went with some nervousness as I don't go out bushwalking in the dark usually, but after a while it was kind of exciting looking for the next marker and almost a let down when I found the dual one...hmmm, should I walk on, yes I decided, and then something told me to go back and have a look around and see if anything was pointing the way, and sure enough there was, so a bit of bushbashing and the cache found, logged and then the return journey which wasn't so exiting with nothing to light the way...I really loved this cache and am looking for some more night caches.

Hi Trekkers
With my 20/20 vision (even at my age) and with flat batteries in a torch that I did not have, we began the trek "UP" the hill to find this cache
The only muggles at beginning of the trek were four legs; that's two sets; screaming "DON'T DO IT!!" but we did!!
The markers were easy to follow and I wondered how you carried the ladder to get them to their elevation; but I figured that out by reading whitewebbs log today - you stood on Mrw's shoulders didn't you!?
We Sainted the cache 1445 hours having found another on the way to GZ for this one
A night cache well constructed and enjoyed immensely except for the continual rise of the trail
TFTC and cheers

This cache is the reason I went straight past another hide, I was too focused as my torch was not powerful enough (that was because it wasn't quite dark enough yet). Great markers, I now remember you saying you had these. I soon got to the point where I needed to search around and soon had that last one in sight. A quick signing and back to the main trail to do a big circuit to collect some more caches. This was a great night cache, thanks Tassie Trekkers
A comment to stainless steel rat on Thursday night turned into a plan rather quickly over the following 24 hours. After a later than expected Friday night I dragged myself out of bed while the clock still started with a 5, Urgh!
My first stop was the Rats Nest to pick up stainless steel rat and after loading his things in the car we departed at 6.05am. Our first stop was Mood Food for coffee and to find some lunch to throw in the esky for later, followed by a much needed stop at the train park in Perth (to offload the coffee), then it was on to the house of TazScout for another round of coffee.
We spent the whole day caching in various parts of Trevallyn Reserve and then picked up a few other caches as we left there late in the day. We found traditional caches, puzzle caches, a trig point, some moveable caches, a pod cache, a reverse cache, a beacon cache, a gadget cache, a night cache and a multi-cache. We also found a cache of EVERY terrain type from an easy T1 right through to a ‘fun’ T5.
After a late dinner in town, we returned back south with a couple of fresh air stops on the way. After dropping stainless steel rat back at his nest, I arrived home at 11.45pm absolutely exhausted.

I had been saving this cache since every other night I had been out there it was far too light to do a cache like this but tonight it was perfect and after making my way along the Trail following the very clear markers I soon found myself at Ground Zero thanks for the Cache.

This was a night/day Cache for me. After work I did another nearby Cache while waiting for it to get dark. I have been in this area before so I was familiar with these tracks. The reflectors were relatively easy to follow till I got to the penultimate one. I walked up and down the track for a bit with no luck and I was getting a bit anxious. I went back to the last known reflector and reassessed again and then I saw it - the final reflector. However I decided not to go there in the dark and return another day, in daylight to tackle the trek to GZ. I returned this morning to sign the log book and it seemed much quicker to get there today and I did not worry about the wildlife and I could see where I was putting my feet in the last few metres to GZ! No tripping and less fear about being bitten or attacked by wildlife. A large well hidden cache was my reward. Thanks Tassie Trekkers for my night/day trek. A thoroughly recommended cache that should get me some points in the State of The Nation game that is running at the moment. TFTC

This was the last cache we attempted today. We had spent a little time in town as we wanted to make sure it would be dark as although we have done night caches during the day we find that it is more enjoyable when it is dark.
We arrived at the starting spot for the night cache and soon spotted a winking light some distance in front of us. Following the track we reached the first reflector and waved our torches around until wee picked up the next little twinkling light. We were then certain of the direction we should be going and made good progress up the hill until we spotted the double reflectors. At this point it took us sometime to get the right orientation to light up the final reflector. After a few minutes of walking backwards and forwards and round and round we spotted a shy wink from among the scrub. One of us held our beam on the reflector while the other made his way slowly towards it. It seemed to take a long time to reach GZ but once there we were able to locate the large, well hidden cache container. Container and contents were in good condition.
Log signed and container returned to its hide it was time to return to the car park and head home. We were glad we did not have to contend with mountain bikers hurtling down the track.
Thanks for this night cache Tassie Trekkers we really enjoyed your first night cache and the work that you put into it in placing your reflectors.

As the first to find has now been claimed, we will log a find. We beta tested this cache for the cache owners on a recent trip to Launceston. What fun it was. Before the games started we hadn't found a night cache, we now have found two, each totally different and we have set up one of our own which is different again. We waited until it was completely dark. If it had been daylight Mrs W would have seen that she was going up and up. We totally recommend this cache.
We are participating in the States of the Nation games which are currently running from 16 December 2017 until 21 January 2018 and we will use this find against one of the scavenges.
States of the Nation is a real and virtual geocaching scavenger hunt where your home state will compete against other Australian states to find and hide geocaches. Over the 5 week course of the game there will be hundreds of scavenges that you can track down, find and convert into points for your state. Some scavenges will be easy. Some scavenges will be tough. Some scavenges may be impossible. Don't despair. You are not competing just for yourself; you are competing as a state.
We have had fun participating and as this is the last week it will soon be over. Then what do we do? Thanks to all the cache owners who have placed caches that meet the scavenge criteria for us to find. Go Tassie.
We no longer need to do such lengthy logs as we have received the virtual trophy "I write treatises for a living" averaging 150 words per finds on valid dragonZone caches.

Thanks to the Trekkers for a day of firsts. Earlier in the day knocked over their pod cache, then their gadget cache and later went on to attempt my first night cache. As the sun was going down, set off on a dusty track through the bush, guided only by occasional flashes. On and on they drew me, ever deeper into uncharted wilderness. Not really, but I was getting rather excited... anticipation.. The finale reached, the cache soon revealed.. Outstanding adventure, thoroughly recommend.. thanks..!!
