Description

short off set multi

So many Homesteads out this way, long driveways and great views, only problem was there wasn't one here!

THE FINAL CACHE IS NOT AT THE LISTED COORDINATES.

You need to go to the listed coordinates where you will find a pole with letters and numbers. Convert the letter to corresponding number of the alphabet (A=1, B=2, C=3 etc), and solve the sums for the numbers.

Final can be found at S35 11.ABC   E149 35.DEF

A = the last number

B = first number minus 2

C = second number

D = first letter minus 1

E = second letter

F = fourth number minus 1

Container has log book and pen, and has room for trackables and/or swaps. Please replace container as found.

You may wish to find the other caches along this road.

CHECK SUM: S = 19   E = 30

Thank goodness for this multi. I have been experiencing a really frustrating afternoon as Monty#2 doesn't have all the information that I thought he had. I gathered the required information thanks to Sam(sung) and it wasn't long before I had the CIH. Thanks for saving my sanity today Darzee Di. It was great to be able to solve a quick short multi that didn't require me to drive miles away to grab the cache. The log now carries my name. Black Bunny and I went out for an afternoon drive with our geo-puppies. The weather was fairly iffy, but the caches were fun.
I couldn't make the check sum add up, but found the cache anyway. Good find. Dry log.
Thanks, Darzee Di!

Out with Just a cacher for a Sunday drive and decided to grab a cache or two while we were in the area.

A quick find here today.

Thanks for the cache Darzee Di.

Exploring the area with whitewebbs and finding caches along the way. Doubted our math skills as our E checksum = 34 but after re checking our answers and reading previous logs we went with our calculations and made the find..

Many thanks Darzee Di for publishing this cache and adding to our geocaching experience.

We were enjoying our drive around Mount Fairy finding the caches hidden around the access roads. As we collected the information for this cache a young female jogged by. It was quite hot by now and we had only seen one car while driving around so the appearance of a jogger was surprising. After collecting the data the final coordinates were quickly calculated and the short walk to GZ lead to a find of another well hidden large container. Container and contents were in good condition.

Thanks for a nice little multi cache Darzee Di. We enjoyed the view from this spot.

Out grabbing a mixture of caches today. Quickly gathered the information and calculated a GZ where the cache was found. Checksums not needed or consulted.

Thanks,

GCA 1910. Heading into Canberra this morning with minniek so we 'detoured' for this one.

Gathered the required info at WP1, and with help from the previous logs we worked out GZ and made a quick find.

TFTC Darzee Di !! Go ACT !!

We were a little confused with this one. We tried again and rechecked our working and couldn't get the checksum to work. We were about to give up when we read through previous logs and saw we too were getting 34. Very Happy So, happy now, off we went to GZ.
What a beaut sized cache!
This find will come in handy for SoN game.
Thanks heaps Darzee Di.

#GA2244 - 12:15; Headed out with andrewbt and Sol de lune on a 'States of the Nation' mission across the border into New South Wales to plunder some treasure which has recently appeared around Mt Fairy. The plan was hatched with abt at a recent event and after the return of Sdl from OS the finer details all came together and today was settled on to head off on the scavenge. After a wrong turn early, we were now rolling along the dirt roads pretty well. This was our second multi in a row and caused a bit of head scratching as the east checksum wouldn't sum correctly for us. Checked some earlier logs and found others had determined that 34 is the right number, so went with that and soon had the cache in hand and the log signed. TFTC Darzee Di Very HappyClan Cerberus

After a bit of time away it was time to head out and start grabbing a few of the new GCA caches with LuckyL10n and AndrewBT for the current Summer Game. Once at the posted co-ords we set about working out GZ and soon had some good looking numbers. Wandered over to our GZ where the cache was soon found.

Once the cache was replaced, we were off to the next one and a few more points for the ACT.

Thanks for another one DD.....

Have I mentioned that I love dirt roads? I do and this cache had me kicking up the dust with the best of them. Was a bit concerned as my easting check sum didn't match my solution but decided to have a look anyway, and my solution was spot on. Cache found and log signed. TFTC

A nice afternoon evening run out in this neck of the woods and this one was on the list. No dramas with the maths and the cache was soon captured.
Not sure if the kangaroos out here are friendly or stupid!
Thanks Darzee Di for the cache and the fun.

Kittykatch decided we should hide some caches for the SoN game and here we are. KK Darzee Di and I running around the countryside doing so. Have held off logging till FTF was accomplished. It was great fun and great experience of hiding and logging and making up puzzles. Claiming now

Three of us set out to hide some caches for the State of the Nation game but held off logging the cache until the FTF was completed. So I am claiming the cache now. It was so much fun exploring this area and hiding the containers. Great to get some more GA caches out there. Thanks for the cache Smile

Joint [FTF] with Goldenwattle.
This one had us puzzled in that the S checksum of 19 checked OK, but our E checksum was 34 instead of 30.
We decided to look for it any way and were rewarded with a find.
Thanks For The Cache Darzee Di

Decrypter and I parked near the pole, and we could read it from the car. South checksum worked out, but the East checksum did not. We went over the figures and got the same result. Taking a chance we went in search of the cache, and it was there. East checksum should have been 34. *FTF* TFTC Darzee Di.
