Nasty weather, with definite snow falling on the windscreen, but not sticking to the ground. The wind-chill factor was pretty good, too. However, we thought a nice drive, with a few caches in between might be good. It turned out to be colder than we expected, but it was good to get out anyway.

Quick find, cache in good condition. I love to see a nice, big container! Found on ground. There has been a lot of bulldozing in the area, but cache is safe, I think. We moved it back towards its tree, into shelter.

Out for a drive with Just a cacher and we decided to grab a cache or two as we were out.

A quick grab after a short walk between the sleet and rain. We found this one on the ground and with the wind today it may end up there again

Today I am out on a mission to find enough GCA caches to finish off the Battleship and hopefully the Patrol boat too in the current GCA game of Battleships. All caches that were found were in good condition and the logs signed. Thanks for this cache Darzee Di. Mission accomplished for Battleship but will not know about the Patrol boat until I have finished logging and then firing off my shots.

Out and about with Tassie Trekkers finding caches and this was one puzzle we had solved prior to our visit to the big isle. Happy now to finally have a smiley face on the map. A lovely area for a drive. TFTP

As Mrs Y'stassie stood at GZ she couldn't see anything to match the hint nearby. Her cacher instinct was suggesting a certain object should be investigated even though it was on the ground and over 10m away. After wandering in ever increasing circles without any luck the other team member suggested she should check that object over there. Her reply "but its on the ground!"

Over she went and a rattle as she picked up the oject needed to be investigated. There was the cache log. After signing and replacing the log sheet it was a question of where to put it. Firstly we put it in the most obvious spot but had nothing to secure it so we placed it a little lower where it could be secured naturally. Our GPS indicated we were 10m NW of our solved coordinates. As it is a very large container we feel cahers will be able to find it where it is currently placed.

Thanks for this cache Darzee Di, for a good puzzle that we solved before we left for this trip and for an adventurous cache hunt. We also enjoyed finding a great big container.

Wow this was huge! Not what I was expecting having found a few others out this way. Nice and easy to find but made it quick as I wasnt totally comfortable with where I had pulled over. Nice puzzle lol. TFTC : )

#GA2250 - 12:50; Headed out with andrewbt and Sol de lune on a 'States of the Nation' mission across the border into New South Wales to plunder some treasure which has recently appeared around Mt Fairy. The plan was hatched with abt at a recent event and after the return of Sdl from OS the finer details all came together and today was settled on to head off on the scavenge. After a wrong turn early, we were now rolling along the dirt roads pretty well. Our numbers weren't rolling too well with this cache, so we expanded the search area. My GPSr was still showing 11m as I stood at GZ. Anyway, we made it in the end and added our names to the log. TFTC Darzee Di

After a bit of time away it was time to head out and start grabbing a few of the new GCA caches with LuckyL10n and AndrewBT for the current Summer Game. Puzzle was solved last night in prep for our day out and once at GZ, the cache was quickly found. Always enjoy finding these bigger containers....

Once the cache was replaced, we were off to the next one and a few more points for the ACT.

A nice afternoon evening run out in this neck of the woods and this one was on the list. No dramas with the puzzle and the cache was soon captured.

Going to love continuing to come out this way to collect these caches. Just a bit of a slight detour either to or from work and the road is much more quieter.

Puzzle was a quick solve.....glad I sent fitzy_1965 up for the retrieval as I was still in my work clothes. He got a bit dirty.

GCA 1886. Solved this one today, and headed out here (again) on the way back from Canberra with minniek.

It sure is all burnt out ! Got a bit messy recovering the cache, but all good in the end. Nice Puzzle !

Kittykatch decided we should hide some caches for the SoN game and here we are. KK Darzee Di and I running around the countryside doing so. Have held off logging till FTF was accomplished. It was great fun and great experience of hiding and logging and making up puzzles. Claiming now

Three of us set out to hide some caches for the State of the Nation game but held off logging the cache until the FTF was completed. So I am claiming the cache now. It was so much fun exploring this area and hiding the containers. Great to get some more GA caches out there. Thanks for the cache
