Description

Not far away from the Nanango Nettball courts

You are seeking a cammo black regular sized container within sight of the Nettball courts. Nettball is a big game here in Nanango so much so that when the courts failed to meet game and safety rules the committee did not rest on their laurels.

They went about fund raising and applying for grants. they needed a large bucket full of money to bring the courts back up to accepted competition standards and they were suddessful. the courts are now nearly

ready to be played on again. At the time of Hiding this one the contractors were still pouring concrete. I gather there is a synthetic surface to be applied to the surface.

Have a look as you drive past on your way to GZ.

There is a wonderful feeling when I find a cache that hasn't seen the light of day for some years.
Unfortunately, when this was unearthed, the container was in very poor condition, and I didn't have a spare suitable container with me.
I replaced the log in a few extra ziplock bags, and put the container in a position which should protect it.

Well hidden... was very pleased to see the tiniest sign of plastic. Realise now that's probably why we didn't find the last two caches even though it seemed like a thorough search at the time we may not have been going deep enough. TFTC youngoldfella.

Sol de lune

2nd day of a 5 day trip around south-east Queensland with LuckyL10n and today we were in Nanango to grab a few more of the local offerings. All up my 3rd trip to this area, but there are few cachers to grab. We encountered wild weather in Brisbane yesterday, however today started with very little rain and no wind...thankfully.

As for the find, we pulled up close to GZ and once we started the search it wasn't long and the cache was in hand. Log was signed, cache replaced and we were then off to the next one.

Thanks for the cache Youngoldfella and another *FTF*. Cache all good.

#GA3532 - 15:41; Day 2 of the South East Queensland tour with Sol de lune. Made it to Nanango late yesterday after getting belted by a storm later in the afternoon/early evening. Much to our relief the heavy rain seems to be moving on and it is only overcast and occasional light drizzle this morning. Spending today caching around Nanango and Kingaroy and hoping to clear a swag of GCA puzzles from the 'solved but unfound' list we have been compiling for the past couple of years. We were now underway and enjoying a variety of cache types and hides, some taking longer than other to make the find amongst the long grasses and having to make the right choice from the variety of possibilities available. Also enjoyed solving the puzzles, even though there was plenty of head scratching and later on forehead slapping along the way! This trad was quite straightforward though and we happily claimed the *FTF* (at last Dancing
