I had previously tried to find this cache but I had a rubbish phone with bad GPS, so I was out with my new phone a couple of weeks back doing a bit of exploring and found what I thought was a dry creek and thought about this cache but did not have an appropriate app on the new phone, so it had to wait until all was in order. So, today was the day, and a bit more exploring and a bit more exploring and I finally found the cache in surprisingly good order and I was do glad it was it was a large container and easy to find once at the correct co-ordinates.

today we choose to target all the caches in the Trevallyn dam area, we attempted 14 caches with 13 finds and 1 DNF. it was a very hot waling along the trail so we were always on the look out for our slithering friends.
this cache was a quick find with accurate co-ordinance the walk back u from this one made me sweat as it was so hot today. TFTC

Hi Trekkers,
Thought the going may have been harder going by some of the logs but my orienteering instinct kicked in and soon arrived at gz where the cache was quickly spotted. Another very enjoyable cache. Rather nice to have some off track caching for a change...many thanks...cheers ST.

Hi Trekkers
A great caching day today. Another day out with Budge and a total of 37 caches found.
Travel:
Left Huonville for Lenah Valley at 0515 hours, met the Blue Flier and then on to Launceston and return to Huonville at 2240 hours.
Another 14.53 kilometres were covered on foot requiring 19217 steps burning 2322 calories.
Weather:
Overcast and drizzly morning. A fine afternoon and a bit warmer.
Thanks to Budge for a great day, great company, laughs and above all else his friendship
The majority of caches found today were hidden by Tassie Trekkers and my thanks to them for their dedication to our SPORT and giving me as much fun as I had today (as well as the sore legs and aching body - cheers)

This puzzle took some time to solve
A gentle walk to get to GZ, unlike some of the others of your caches found today
A bit of drizzle while doing the cache
A quick find and enjoyable sojourn
Sainted the cache at 0915 hours as the third find for the day
TFTC and cheers

While up North for a few days for family commitments (a 90th birthday) a few caches were found and this was one of them. We enjoyed solving the puzzles as they were published during the summer games, so it is now nice to be able to log the ones we were unable to complete during the games. A nice large, well stocked cache. TFTP

It was nice to get into the car and blow the air con for a few minutes and also put some juice back in the phones as we made our way to a familiar parking area. As I pulled up I saw a man painting so called out to see if I had messed up his view. He assured me I was fine. As we walked past his work I stole a sideways glance and agreed that my car (and TazScouts) would have made no difference at all Maybe I just don't appreciate art.
We made a mess of this one somehow and did a long zig then zag to GZ. We were tiring fast and it would have been nice to kick back with a beer and relax but we were here for a reason and we will continue until the job is done. When we finally got there we had no problem finding the cache.
A comment to stainless steel rat on Thursday night turned into a plan rather quickly over the following 24 hours. After a later than expected Friday night I dragged myself out of bed while the clock still started with a 5, Urgh!
My first stop was the Rats Nest to pick up stainless steel rat and after loading his things in the car we departed at 6.05am. Our first stop was Mood Food for coffee and to find some lunch to throw in the esky for later, followed by a much needed stop at the train park in Perth (to offload the coffee), then it was on to the house of TazScout for another round of coffee.
We spent the whole day caching in various parts of Trevallyn Reserve and then picked up a few other caches as we left there late in the day. We found traditional caches, puzzle caches, a trig point, some moveable caches, a pod cache, a reverse cache, a beacon cache, a gadget cache, a night cache and a multi-cache. We also found a cache of EVERY terrain type from an easy T1 right through to a ‘fun’ T5.
After a late dinner in town, we returned back south with a couple of fresh air stops on the way. After dropping stainless steel rat back at his nest, I arrived home at 11.45pm absolutely exhausted.

We drove down to near this one and them followed a path so we ended up covering too much distance for this one, we were all hot and sweaty by now and by the time we cot back to the car we were all over it and wanted to sit on a sofa, with Goose and Tazscout (who we picked up along the way), cache in good order, thanks, some hard work getting here but worth it in the end, some great views over the river as we made our way.
This trip was a spur of the moment thing only first dreamed up on Thursday night, GooseandEgg wanted to clean up a few new caches in the North so with the weather looking good for today we left home at 6am and got back home at 11:30pm. Thanks for great day out.

Like Dankpig we had poked and prodded the puzzle information without getting any useful data so eventually we decided to contact the COs who kindly pointed us in the right direction. It was a case of so near but not near enough. With the helpful hint we soon had some useful numbers and the checker liked our coordinates.
At the car park we found ourselves about 200m from the cache and could not see an easy way to the cache site. It was a matter of an off path walk. This was quite steep and in places we had to clamber over fallen logs and a few rock outcrops. The cache certainly lived up to its terrain 3 rating.
When we arrived at the area indicated by our GPS we located both the dry creek and the cache. Container and contents were in good condition. After signing the log and replacing the cache it was back to the uphill scramble.
Congratulations on your FTF Dankpig.
Thanks for a puzzle with a little twist that we hadn't encountered before Tassie Trekkers and for another large puzzle cache with difficulty 3 and terrain 3.

Haplessly pondered over this puzzle for a couple of session over a couple of nights and was thoroughly perplexed. So sought assistance from the CO, a quick response and generous hint soon had me back on track. Today made my way to the finale for another large and well hidden cache. Ta for the day's bushwalking outing.. thanks..!!
