Description
This is a great drive by virtual, a Great View for a nice Lunch.
This is where everybody slips in there boats so they can go fishing for the day. I love the view from here and just think it is really amazing. It is at the furthest point of soldiers point and well worth the drive.
To make things interesting I thought I would get you to answer two questions...
One is sign based and another is plaque based...
The above co-ords will take you in front of four or five signs...
Tell me the answer to the following...
1. How do you identify a grey nurse shark????
The next question will require you to back up about three meters to the big rock with a plaque on it...
2. It will give you the Date, Month and Year the boat ramp was opened...
Send me an email with those two answers and you have made a quick virtual with the added benefit of a fabulous view.
Don't forget to check out Pied Piper and Sailing @ the bay just up the road.... Another two easy caches...

Thanks MADSTARS.
Grateful to be back at Soldiers Point boat ramp for your Fly Point Virtual. Well it was a virtual find, with answers to both questions not available at GZ, photo evidence attached. Tried in vain to find history of the ramp for a date. Also searched for identifying features of a grey nurse shark, to learn some unclear methods including colour (der), stout body shape and rows of teeth.
Anyways it was fun to visit and watch the many passing boats on a sunny August mid-week afternoon.
Hope it's OK to log this as virtually found.
Cheers
MajuraHathi
Thanks.
Photo shows that the plaque is missing.

Oh to have the money to have one of the boats around here, some put our yacht to shame.
Now off to get the next nearby GC cache.
