Description

The cache is NOT at the listed co-ordinates above.

This geocache was placed to assist Tasmania in the 'States Of The Nation 2017/18' summer game (Go Tassie!!).

Amongst many other challenges, geocachers are required to hide and/or log a Mystery or Unkown cache, with points being awarded for size (the larger the better), difficulty, terrain etc.

So with that in mind, here's a large puzzle geocache!

If you are not playing the game, well just have fun finding and logging the cache as per normal.

Once the puzzle has been solved (check with GeoChecker), the cache itself is a large plastic container. Get in quick as LARGE containers are easily muggled.

Also in order to prolong the hide as long as possible, it would be appreciated if you can cover the cache up again as best you can when re-hiding.

The cache can be found at...

S41 (The Reptile Room)(The Austere Academy). (The Bad Beginning)(The Vile Village)(The Bad Beginning)

E147 (The Ersatz Elevator).(The Vile Village)(The Vile Village)(The Ersatz Elevator)

Have fun!

Had wrong coordinates and was about to venture into a paddock with some cows so rechecked my calculations. Back to the drawing board and got some more likely coordinates. Off again I ventured several months later only to find out I had two sets of coordinates for this cache- mmmm! Went to the first set of coordinates, fought with some blackberries, slipped in some mud ( very wet track due to rain) but I had chosen correct set of coordinates. Cache in good order. TFTC

Hi DaFiChNi Team,
Sorted puzzle some time ago....now for the hunt. Went in the wrong way....grass was icy....but soon arrived at a very well cammoed hide...awesome.
A bit of cleanup happening not too far away...but reckon cache is safe.
Many thanks for a top cache...cheers ST.

I thought it was about time to finally look for this cache as I had worked out the puzzle some time back. It seems to be a very appropriate name for the area it is now in. TFTC.

Doing some caching the Launceston area to take advantage of the x 5 points during the Commonwealth Games. We'd solved some puzzles but hadn't had a chance to look for them so out and about today on a beautiful autumn day. Found our way to this one easily but then the blackberries reached out and bit mr sharnie's tribe! Dedication to the sport displayed in bloodshed Shocked TFTC and the puzzle

Found with Oldsaint on a epic trip to Launceston

GZ is starting to get overgrown with the prickly type, but this will help keep the cache secret

We are up North for a few days and grabbing caches here and there. This one was close to where we were staying so a quick grab on the way past. We enjoyed solving the puzzles as they were published during the summer games, so it is now nice to be able to log the ones we were unable to complete in the games. A nice large, well stocked cache. We we very wary of movements in the undergrowth as ideal conditions today for snakes. TFTP

We'd finished most of what we had come to do but there were a couple more down the hill we wanted to knock off. I remember being pleased with myself for finding the answers to this quickly. It was very quiet at GZ so we wandered over with no interference apart from a few waving blackberry thorns. Spotted the cache easily and after signing we added a bit more camo so it was not quite so noticeable. Thanks DaFiChNi Team for your caches today.

A comment to stainless steel rat on Thursday night turned into a plan rather quickly over the following 24 hours. After a later than expected Friday night I dragged myself out of bed while the clock still started with a 5, Urgh!
My first stop was the Rats Nest to pick up stainless steel rat and after loading his things in the car we departed at 6.05am. Our first stop was Mood Food for coffee and to find some lunch to throw in the esky for later, followed by a much needed stop at the train park in Perth (to offload the coffee), then it was on to the house of TazScout for another round of coffee.
We spent the whole day caching in various parts of Trevallyn Reserve and then picked up a few other caches as we left there late in the day. We found traditional caches, puzzle caches, a trig point, some moveable caches, a pod cache, a reverse cache, a beacon cache, a gadget cache, a night cache and a multi-cache. We also found a cache of EVERY terrain type from an easy T1 right through to a ‘fun’ T5.
After a late dinner in town, we returned back south with a couple of fresh air stops on the way. After dropping stainless steel rat back at his nest, I arrived home at 11.45pm absolutely exhausted.

Called for this one towards the end of our day, was a quick find before moving on for the next ,with Goose of GooseandEgg, cache in good order, thanks.
This trip was a spur of the moment thing only first dreamed up on Thursday night, GooseandEgg wanted to clean up a few new caches in the North so with the weather looking good for today we left home at 6am and got back home at 11:30pm. Thanks for great day out.

We had to come to Launceston today to pick up some wood working equipment for our son so we decided to include a little caching as well.

We had solved the recently published puzzles in this part of the state so targeted nine that were in close proximity and a reverse cache. This one was the first on our list. We were interested in the topic of this puzzle as we were not familiar with this series. After consulting Wiki we soon had a solution that the geochecker agreed with

While Mr y'stassie answered a phone call Mrs y'stassie headed off to look for this cache. She had not been off track in this area before and after a close encounter with a very active little snake in a stump yesterday she was being a little wary as she made her way through the grass, blackberries (it will be a little while before these will be ripe but they look as though they will be nice and big) and debris. Accurate coordinates soon had her at GZ were she found a nice large container well stocked with items our two older children love. Container and contents were in excellent condition. After signing the log we replaced it as we had found it taking care to make sure the covering material completely hid the container.

Thanks DaFiChNi Team for the puzzle, the large cache, the SOTN points and the simply but very effectively hidden cache. It was a great cache for our 4000th GCA cache find.

Stopped by on the way to work for a hunt around this old dump? site. I'm sure there was an easy way to get to the cache, but I didn't find it as battled through the refuse and scrub. Was rather pleased to find the log empty so will claim an elusive ftf.. thanks..!!
