I've been meaning to visit the 3 GCA caches in this area for a while. Today was the day. Sadly though, I only found 1/3.
At first I thought I was out of luck here, but went in for another go and found the cache laying on the ground under vines etc. It's back in the hint location and in good order. Thanks.

I was visiting Queensland for the weekend and thought I would take the opportunity to go caching in another state. We parked near the Creative Kids Educare Centre close to the starting coordinates. Once there we followed the instructions and walked out of the park around the corner and into the Len & Muriel Godlonton Reserve Runaway Bay. The reserve is a refreshing patch of native bush within suburbia. Luckily we chose the correct path and started looking around for an obvious tree stump. We spotted a place to search. It was well covered by vines but met the hint for looking at chest height. I struggled to find a way through the vines but was rewarded by the sight of a plastic bag peeking out of a hole. We found the cache in good condition.
Caching in the area with whitewebbs and this was one of the caches we found.

I did this cache second out of the other GCA caches in this reserve. By the looks of the name, maybe it was designed to be the last one to be retrieved. The projection was done easily, using the toolbox - and the cache located quickly using the GCA App by mtrax. I saw a spot that looks suspicious, and sure enough - it contained the cache. Some good swaps in this one too. Thanks again, phlphotos!
Looked at the caches here and this was one we solved. We've been cache hunting in here before so we knew where to come. Quickly found the cache due to the good co-ords but it was very well hidden. With luck this will give us points, not dirt, for the Journey or Destination game. TFTC phlphotos.

Last one in the area and the one that took the longest. Took quite a few minutes to get things sorted and even then I couldn't find anything. Played around a little more and ended up in another spot and after searching around the cache was unearthed. Signed the log, replaced the cache and headed back to the car.
Thanks Phlphotos, enjoyed the walk around the area and the chance to get out of the car.

#GA3001 - 15:00; After breakfast in Kingscliffe and caching the way back to base in Broadbeach, I got the chance for some more caching while the rest of the geotribe hit the beach. After reaching the 3000 GCA finds milestone, I was working on the nearby multi, but saw from the most recent log that it might be AWOL, so headed off to give this one a try before heading for home. Tried something as I made my way along and soon found myself at GZ and with the elusive cache in hand. TFTC phlphotos

Found today, as I was doing my rounds for Geosportz2018, way out of my caching comfort zone. A 220 km round trip. All good with this cache after the recent rains, although i put in a new pencil and bagged the log book with some silica pouches, just for the longevity of unloved GCA caches. Only a small reserve so it was a quick duck in and out only finding the 1 Mystery and 1 Traditional. I worked the multi out when I got home, D'oh it finally clicked about which State..hahaha. Sorry I don't get the other Mystery...need a ladder!!!!

With an unplanned trip north to the Gold Coast for the day, set about solving some nearby mystery caches to maximise the trip and to score some more points for the States of the Nation game. After a quick projection had the needed coordinates and a quick find at GZ. Signed the log and returned as found. Thanks for another mystery phlphotos.
