Description
Princes Highway Puzzles #21
The Princes Highway is a major road in Australia, extending from Sydney to Port Augusta via the coast through the states of New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia. It has a length of 1,941 kilometres (along Highway 1) or 1,898 kilometres via the former alignments of the highway, although these routes are slower and connections to the bypassed sections of the original route are poor in many cases.
The highway follows the coastline for most of its length, and thus takes quite an indirect and lengthy route. For example, it is 1,040 kilometres from Sydney to Melbourne on Highway 1 as opposed to 870 kilometres on the more direct Hume Highway (National Highway 31), and 915 kilometres from Melbourne to Adelaide compared to 730 kilometres on the Western and Dukes Highways (National Highway 8). Because of the rural nature and lower traffic volumes over much of its length, the Princes Highway is a more scenic and leisurely route than the main highways between these major cities.
The Princes Highway as a named route came into being when pre-existing roads were renamed ‘Prince's Highway’ after the visit to Australia in 1920 of the Prince of Wales (later to become King Edward VIII and, after abdicating, the Duke of Windsor). South of Waterfall the highway is paralleled by the 55-kilometre Princes Motorway (national route M1) to the top of Bulli Pass outside the city of Wollongong, which carries the majority of traffic.
The codeword for the cache is: Southern neighbour state of New South Wales.

Having solved most of the Princes Highway Puzzles, they were our main target today. All were found quickly & easily unless otherwise mentioned.
Having solved 21 out of 22 existing puzzles in the Princes Highway Puzzle Series we headed out for a run today to grab as many as we could for a last day grab of bonus dZ points. Next find of the day. All the finds were quick at GZ and the containers in good condition unless otherwise mentioned.
TFTC Team MavEtJu !! Appreciate the interesting series !
This series was the main focus of the day, although we managed a couple of other GCA caches that we pasted en-route. We solved all but one, and DNF'd one...so a good result really.
No problems here and the cache was soon in hand and the log signed.
Thanks TMEJ....a neat little trail that kept us on our toes.
