Description
I come here a couple of times of the year with family and friends camping and spending time water skiing and just relaxing. It is affectionately known as "Logues" by the many people that come here.
The Logue Brook Dam was constructed in 1963 to provide water for irrigation however the lake now also provides a focus for camping and water based recreation activities. Water skiing, swimming, fishing and marroning are the main activities with canoeing, windsurfing and sailing also possible. Land based activities in the surrounding state forest include sightseeing, bushwalking, picnicking and cycling.
Logue Brook is ideally situated for overnight visits and short stays, being close to Perth and other centres in the south-west. The summer months and Easter are the busiest times for recreation activities, especially when water skiing conditions are good, but other recreational options in the area make it a great place to visit all year round.
Getting there
Logue Brook Dam is located within the Shire of Harvey, 125km south of Perth between Yarloop and Harvey on the western edge of the Darling Range. Access is from the South Western Highway via the sealed Logue Brook Dam Road.
Camping
Logue Brook is a great family or group camping option. The new campground is located in jarrah/marri forest area with views over Lake Brockman and adjacent to the Lake Brockman Tourist Park, public boat launch area and swimming area.
There are camp sites designed for longer vehicles that are suitable for caravans and camper trailers and with room for boats. There are also tent sites with views over the water and some sites suitable for wheelchair access. New toilet facilities and barbecue shelters are dotted through the campground and paths for walking and cycling link to nearby facilities at the boat ramp and the tourist park.
Mountain biking
The Munda Biddi Trail passes along by the lake as well as Logue Brook Campground and the Lake Brockman Tourist Park, making this an ideal access and overnight stop for trail riders.
Fishing
Many people fish in the waters of Lake Brockman. Closed seasons, bag limits and minimum legal sizes help protect stocks from over-fishing. You must also have a valid fishing licence.
Boat-based fun
Recreational boating and especially water skiing is popular on waters of Lake Brockman. A five knot speed limit applies for all motorised water craft except when conducting water ski operations in the defined water ski area and within the permitted time of sunrise to sunset. No water skiing is permitted within 45 metres of the shore and the boundary of the water ski area has been marked with yellow buoys. Personal water craft may only be used on the lake for water skiing in the prescribed area.

You are looking for a large container not too far from the road. There is a little parking spot near the cache. DO NOT park on the road as it is very narrow.

Logs
There were a lot of vehicles traveling along this part of the road by the time we got there and we noticed that there was a sign on the way in saying no more room at the camping grounds. Cache was found without problems although we were not the first to sign the log as it was signed way back in March this year.
Log signed and cache returned as found.
We stopped a while and watched all the boats whizzing around the water.
Thanks dezzabills for the cache.
