Description

This Reserve dates back to the earliest colony days of Western Australia. Guildford was established in the 1870's at which time goods were transported from Perth and Fremantle by river and produce markets were held on this Reserve. This photo is of the road and rail bridges crossing the Swan River. The wooden road bridge was constructed in 1950. There has been a few bridges here, the earliest being built in 1854. July 2010.

A lovely riverside spot on the Swan River to have a BBQ or just take in the tranquil surrounds.

As well as being a popular picnic ground, it is a great spot for fishing or canoeing. There is a boat ramp suitable for launching small boats, canoes or kayaks.

Other facilities include a playground, picnic.

You are looking for a regular container at the base of a tree.

If the coordinates our out let me know as it was the very wet day when i set this up and the gps was probably out dur to the cloud layer.

Chwiliwr took us out for a drive and we called in to find this cache on our travels. Chwiliwr and the better half had done this cache before but as Gwiber and I hadn't we called in on the way home to find it. We watched to boats on the river a bit before heading to ground zero to find the cache.

Found the cache without problems.

Log was signed and cache returned as found.

Thanks dezzabills for the cache.

Found this cache with Chwiliwr. Had just started looking when a patrol came down to speak to somebody near the river so had to wait a bit before doing the search but soon found the well hidden cache. Log signed and cache returned as found.

Thanks dezzabills for the cache.

Lovely spot to relax for lunch. Plenty of potential hiding spots around here, you chose well; even if Mr Spider didn't agree.

Left work early hopping to grab a few caches to add to the WA score but alas no find here. Searched several trees but no joy. A constant stream of muggles unloading boats didn't help.

WOOHOO!! FTF around 7pm.

I had to search in a few places, and the hint was midly helpful. When I found the cache my GPS said 17m to go.
I recorded the coords and have added them to the log, not sure if that will help.

Thanks for the cache dezzabills!
