Description
A simple one-stop, long-distance Multi-cache for travellers on their way to Sydney.
This is a multi-cache. The geocache is not at the listed coordinates. Information available near the listed coordinates will lead to the final location.
On the western outskirts of Alice Springs on Larapinta Drive, is the historical site of the Flynn Graves.
Born in Moliagul, Victoria, John Flynn completed his secondary schooling in 1898 and by 1903 had decided to become a Presbyterian minister. He began his missionary work when there were only two doctors servicing some 300,000 sq km in Western Australia and 1,500,000 sq km in the Territory.
Flynn was quick to recognise the acute need for outback medical care and established a number of bush hospitals. He realised the new technologies of radio and aviation could bring enormous benefits to remote medical services and in 1928 formed the A.I.M. Aerial Medical Service (later to be renamed the Royal Flying Doctor Service).
The wife died on AB/CD/EFGH at the age of IJ. The man was born on KL/MN/OPQR. The next waypoint is ...
