Description

Another strangely-named cache for the 2017/8 States of the Nation Scavenger Series.

This geocache is not at the listed location.
A frog could find the cache but it isn't easy being green.

Oh dear! Summer is here and it's time to crack on with another game. I spent last night solving a few puzzles to collect on route to the GCNSW Christmas Party. Went for a quick and pleasant wander with Richary and foundthe box in good condition. Cheers!

Final day of the summer scavenge game so time to get out and grab some more caches with 14 found in total. Luckily given the heat today they weren't too far from the car. What strange names we are getting these days! Found nice and quickly - thanks Baktrak.

Met up in Penrith with alnic39, lachnic62, ZoNic66, teamMerlin and Splitty Miller JJCC for some previously solved puzzles we got one in Penrith, three in Dural and two in Hornsby Heights. This was the 6th and final of the day and the second one in Hornsby Heights. This hike took the most out of me with the heat the white sandstone fire trail the earlier hikes & the oldest in the team. teamMerlin got the solve & the congratulations on Friday. We didn't find this one the first time we went past and continued on to Park Angel. At that point we read the hint but decided to continue along the level we were on and the track petered out to a trail then to "you're just guessing", we came to a tree but we could see a white post so thought we would continue, I could see on the GPSr that we were getting closer to the original track. Finally got there, we then decided to have another go at this cache so back we went about 160 metres. In the end I found in a spot I thought I had checked before put my hand on the rock so I could move oneof the rocks from the cache & burnt my hand. So Al soon extracted the cache from its hide. We all signed the log and replaced as found. Both the cache and log are in good condition. Thanks for the puzzle Purplepeopleater. At that point I was finished

Found whilst doing a cache run in the area with teamMerlin.

With a last minute caching run scheduled for today in order to grab some more points for the States of the Nation scavenger hunt, we set about solving some newer mystery caches....then off into the heat of the day in order to make all of the finds. Thanks for the puzzle Baktrak.

After zalgariath's recent unpleasant experience with dogs in the area, I was very wary today especially with the sound of nearby barking. But with the lure of two more scavenges, I couldn't resist. Found both coords and container neatly tucked away.
