today we choose to target all the caches in the Trevallyn dam area, we attempted 14 caches with 13 finds and 1 DNF. it was a very hot waling along the trail so we were always on the look out for our slithering friends.
this cache was a quick find with accurate co-ordinance but the terrain on the walk down to ground zero was very hard. TFTC

Hi Trekkers,
Parked near the last cache and blasted to gz where the terrain was getting a tad harder than the previous caches.
Another very quick find...so many thanks for another excellent off road cache...cheers ST.

Doing some caching the Launceston area to take advantage of the x 5 points during the Commonwealth Games. We'd solved some puzzles but hadn't had a chance to look for them so out and about today on a beautiful autumn day. Found the nearest point and then scrub bashed to GZ where mr sharnie's tribe found not only the cache but some sunglasses and an arrow as well! TFTC and the puzzle
Out and about in Trevallyn ticking off a few caches when I realised that this was nearby and another one was close by. I had luck finding this one and got close to the other one but my phone ran out of battery so I will have to come back another day. I am sure I took the hard way to get to this cache as it was much easier to get back out. Terrain rating was warranted. Cache was in good condition and should last for a long time. Thanks for the puzzle and cache.

Hi Trekkers
A great caching day today. Another day out with Budge and a total of 37 caches found.
Travel:
Left Huonville for Lenah Valley at 0515 hours, met the Blue Flier and then on to Launceston and return to Huonville at 2240 hours.
Another 14.53 kilometres were covered on foot requiring 19217 steps burning 2322 calories.
Weather:
Overcast and drizzly morning. A fine afternoon and a bit warmer.
Thanks to Budge for a great day, great company, laughs and above all else his friendship
The majority of caches found today were hidden by Tassie Trekkers and my thanks to them for their dedication to our SPORT and giving me as much fun as I had today (as well as the sore legs and aching body - cheers)
GA11679 "A Futuristic Journey"
This puzzle was a quick solve
A gentle drive to get to a familiar car park and the fun begins.
On the way to this cache I found a target arrow in the ground - couldn't see Robin Hood anywhere! Carried it with me to this cache and forgot to pick it up when we left.
The GPSs were not being co-operative in this area so we had a short search before the cache was found, even though the co-ordinates were very accurate.
Thanks for the start of "sore legs" onset.
A small "BUG" was hanging just above the cache - interesting - or the shell of a bug.
Sainted the cache at 1100 hours as the seventh find for the day
TFTC and cheers

While up North for a few days for family commitments (a 90th birthday) a few caches were found and this was one of them. We enjoyed solving the puzzles as they were published during the summer games, so it is now nice to be able to log the ones we were unable to complete during the games. A nice large, well stocked cache. If anyone finds a pair of sunglasses near this cache, let me know as we lost a pair. Snagged from a cap! TFTP

Solving the puzzle was relatively easy, getting to it wasn't so easy though for a fat waddling goose. I pushed on with TazScout, always playing catchup with stainless steel rat. We searched a few different places before the webbed wonder came up with the goods. It's going to get harder again from here. Thanks Tassies Trekkers for the cache.
A comment to stainless steel rat on Thursday night turned into a plan rather quickly over the following 24 hours. After a later than expected Friday night I dragged myself out of bed while the clock still started with a 5, Urgh!
My first stop was the Rats Nest to pick up stainless steel rat and after loading his things in the car we departed at 6.05am. Our first stop was Mood Food for coffee and to find some lunch to throw in the esky for later, followed by a much needed stop at the train park in Perth (to offload the coffee), then it was on to the house of TazScout for another round of coffee.
We spent the whole day caching in various parts of Trevallyn Reserve and then picked up a few other caches as we left there late in the day. We found traditional caches, puzzle caches, a trig point, some moveable caches, a pod cache, a reverse cache, a beacon cache, a gadget cache, a night cache and a multi-cache. We also found a cache of EVERY terrain type from an easy T1 right through to a ‘fun’ T5.
After a late dinner in town, we returned back south with a couple of fresh air stops on the way. After dropping stainless steel rat back at his nest, I arrived home at 11.45pm absolutely exhausted.

Now we are getting into it another quick find and the day is getting hotter already, with Goose and Tazscout (who we picked up along the way), cache in good order, thanks.
This trip was a spur of the moment thing only first dreamed up on Thursday night, GooseandEgg wanted to clean up a few new caches in the North so with the weather looking good for today we left home at 6am and got back home at 11:30pm. Thanks for great day out.
Copy and Paste again, log day want the logs done, it's still your fault

We noticed that this cache, along with several others had been published today and as we could solve them quickly we added it to our list. We almost didn't look for this one due to us being tired after a long days caching and the light beginning to fade. However the lure of the cache prevailed and we headed towards GZ.
The cache certainly warranted its 3.5 terrain rating and we negotiated our way through rushes down steep slopes, over fallen logs and down rocky slopes. OK in the late afternoon light but could be treacherous in the dark.
Once in the vicinity of GZ we looked around carefully and quickly located the hide site. We retrieved the container and signed the log. Finders are unlikely to be muggled here. It was now time to retrace our steps. As the day had been very warm and was now cooling slowly we were wary of what else may have been making its way through the rushes and over and around the rocks. Fortunately we had no encounters of the snakey kind.
Congratulations on another FTF Dankpig.
Thanks for this cache Tassie Trekkers. It carries great points for a number of scavenges.

A few days off work and a little time to myself - a rare combination indeed. Headed off into the reserve and did some bush bashing to make my way to where x marked the spot. The tree cover and sloping ground made the GPSr unsettled and the hint allowed for a great many possibilities. Circled about for around 10 minutes, checked and rechecked a few spots and finally spotted a well hidden cache.. thanks..!!
