It was my intention to look for caches in the Trevelyan Reserve. Having solved the problem quite some time ago and ascertained the corrected co-ordinates I made a quick find. Cache and contents are in good condition.

Thanks for the cache Tassie Trekkers. Out and about with Lil Rafa and the GeoGSP in the north of the state for a few days. Had just found the oldest cache in Tassie and Lil Rafa checked to see what else was close by. The solved coordinates for this cache were close by so we stopped to have a search. A nice large cache found, still in great condition. Thanks.
Thanks for the cache Tassie Trekkers.
RLD4963, the GeoGSP and I were visiting the north of the state for a couple of days. We were slowly making our way to our accommodation to Hadspen for the night, and were in the area. I noticed that we were close to the solved coordinates for this puzzle cache, which I had solved a long time ago (ready for a visit to the area) so we stopped and had a quick look, and the cache was found. All is in good order at GZ.

today we choose to target all the caches in the Trevallyn dam area, we attempted 14 caches with 13 finds and 1 DNF. it was a very hot waling along the trail so we were always on the look out for our slithering friends.
this cache was a quick find with accurate co-ordinance we pretty well parked beside this one to do the branching out series. TFTC

Drove to Launceston today to checkout a few shops and to have lunch at Hog's Breath Cafe. Decided to head over to Trevallyn to check out the dam and possibly pick up a couple of caches. Then headed home via Exeter. The main reason we went to Treyallyn Dam was to do a bit of recon work. I have never been there before. So I wanted to suss out the area so we can have a better plan to head back soon and walk the trails around the area.
Cache was in great condition, signed log and replaced as found. TFTC

Last cache tackled today and another solved before this trip to Launceston.
After unsuccessfully searching for a nearby SOTN cache we were pleased to finish the day with a find here. In fact it was so easy that Mr Beetle had it in hand before I was even out of the car.
Have several more of these caches solved so will have to return soon to tackle them.
Thanks.

I solved this puzzle some time back and decided that today was the day, and a nice easy find, pity I picked the wrong Summer but logged anyway.

Hi Trekkers
Have had this puzzle solved for ages but missed doing the cache before now
Arrived at GZ only to find the container out in the open
All good with the cache and contents otherwise
Sainted quickly at 1030 hours
Replaced the cache better than it was hidden before
TFTC and cheers

Another puzzle solved and another large cache found- at least this one was easier to find as no big hills to climb and no even more difficult downhills to transverse. Gradually ticking off these mystery caches which thankfully have lasted and not been muggled even though they have all been of a large size. Thanks Tassie Trekkers for the puzzle and cache.
Hi Trekkers,
Another gentle cache....was starting to think you were going soft on us cachers...BUT...that soon changed...omg...another top cache..chèers ST.

While up North for a few days for family commitments (a 90th birthday) a few caches were found and this was one of them. We enjoyed solving the puzzles as they were published during the summer games, so it is now nice to be able to log the ones we were unable to complete during the games. A nice large, well stocked cache. Found with the aid of the hint. TFTP

A morning out with a well caffeinated Goose and Rat, I have to admit I do like the ones that don't require scrambles to get to TFTC
A quick puzzle solve on this one. We parked near GZ, in fact we left the cars here for a few hours, and were soon at GZ. It's surprising how well these big containers can be hidden in this area but they just seem to disappear under the growth well.
Thanks Tassie Trekkers for another good cache.
A comment to stainless steel rat on Thursday night turned into a plan rather quickly over the following 24 hours. After a later than expected Friday night I dragged myself out of bed while the clock still started with a 5, Urgh!
My first stop was the Rats Nest to pick up stainless steel rat and after loading his things in the car we departed at 6.05am. Our first stop was Mood Food for coffee and to find some lunch to throw in the esky for later, followed by a much needed stop at the train park in Perth (to offload the coffee), then it was on to the house of TazScout for another round of coffee.
We spent the whole day caching in various parts of Trevallyn Reserve and then picked up a few other caches as we left there late in the day. We found traditional caches, puzzle caches, a trig point, some moveable caches, a pod cache, a reverse cache, a beacon cache, a gadget cache, a night cache and a multi-cache. We also found a cache of EVERY terrain type from an easy T1 right through to a ‘fun’ T5.
After a late dinner in town, we returned back south with a couple of fresh air stops on the way. After dropping stainless steel rat back at his nest, I arrived home at 11.45pm absolutely exhausted.
Thanks Tassie Trekkers for another good cache.

This was the first find for me today, with Goose and Tazscout (who we picked up along the way), cache in good order, thanks.
This trip was a spur of the moment thing only first dreamt up on Thursday night, GooseandEgg wanted to clean up a few new caches in the North so with the weather looking good for today we left home at 6am and got back home at 11:30pm. Thanks for great day out.

Second last day of the SOTN summer game so we decided we needed to target some caches for scavenges that are still gaps on our list. A quick detour on our way for a FTF then it was on with our trek to the wilds of Trevallyn to see how successful we could be with those gaps. A fairly good day, only missed two, but as one is a moveable maybe we'll find it somewhere else in our travels. As for the other one, well, maybe another visit with a bit more time up our sleeve will meet with more success. This cache was a quick find when we got to GZ, TFTC and the puzzles
Another code that is very familiar and we soon had the confirmed coordinates so added it to our list for today.
When we reached the search area our GPS had its first tantrum for the day- it continually spun not settling on a direction let alone a distance so we resorted to the hint. We had no trouble locating the hide and yet another large Tassie Trekkers' cache. After signing the log and tucking the container safely away we looked at the GPS that had been sitting nearby it read 9m but as its behaviour had been so erratic we decided to ignore it.
Thanks for another puzzle cache that will give us some useful scavenge points to add to Tassie's total in the summer game.

My code breaking skills are improving and am starting to recognise some of the symbols. A nice easy find.. thanks..!!
