We actually rode past this one as we were hoping to get to the top of the hill and planned on stopping for it on the way back, but that last stretch of track just looked too challenging so we turned around before succeeding.
Another quick find of a cache in excellent condition.
Was surprised at how far away from its published coordinates this one was. We expected to be looking for it when we tackled the GeoArt series tomorrow, not during our bike ride today.
Thanks.

I had an hour or so to spare and thought I would finally try and find this one as I had solved the puzzle ages ago! I know that I am a bit late for the "Summer Series" but it is still fun and great that these caches are still out here.

Hi Trekkers,
Didn't take long to reach gz from the last cache...a quick find...many thanks for the top cache...cheers ST.

oh no another trip up in this reserve where I get confused and always seem to take the most difficult route to the cache, only to discover there was an easy way to get there. This was no exception and I only had limited time so this time I took a "short cut " back to the car. It was shorter in distance but harder terrain - oh the life of a mountaineer!! I set off with dog walkers in tow but I very quickly "lost" them. Easy to find cache when I was at GZ. TFTC Tassie Trekkers I am gradually getting these Mystery caches off my sheet of unsolved or unfound caches.

Doing some caching the Launceston area to take advantage of the x 5 points during the Commonwealth Games. We'd solved some puzzles but hadn't had a chance to look for them so out and about today on a beautiful autumn day. We were very near here on one of our previous expeditions but found this one today! While up North for a few days for family commitments (a 90th birthday) a few caches were found and this was one of them. We enjoyed solving the puzzles as they were published during the summer games, so it is now nice to be able to log the ones we were unable to complete during the games. A nice large, well stocked cache. TFTP

I had that Abba song Ring Ring stuck in my head, now it's there again as I log the cache. I'd done a few of these puzzles so it was just a matter of plodding through it again, some bits came out easily and others took some time but I got there or I wouldn't have found the cache. It was nice to sit down here for a minute but best not get too comfortable and stiffen up or the rest of the walk will be even harder. A couple more and we can turn around. A comment to stainless steel rat on Thursday night turned into a plan rather quickly over the following 24 hours. After a later than expected Friday night I dragged myself out of bed while the clock still started with a 5, Urgh!
My first stop was the Rats Nest to pick up stainless steel rat and after loading his things in the car we departed at 6.05am. Our first stop was Mood Food for coffee and to find some lunch to throw in the esky for later, followed by a much needed stop at the train park in Perth (to offload the coffee), then it was on to the house of TazScout for another round of coffee.
We spent the whole day caching in various parts of Trevallyn Reserve and then picked up a few other caches as we left there late in the day. We found traditional caches, puzzle caches, a trig point, some moveable caches, a pod cache, a reverse cache, a beacon cache, a gadget cache, a night cache and a multi-cache. We also found a cache of EVERY terrain type from an easy T1 right through to a ‘fun’ T5.
After a late dinner in town, we returned back south with a couple of fresh air stops on the way. After dropping stainless steel rat back at his nest, I arrived home at 11.45pm absolutely exhausted.

I remember solving a few of these in a rush from a crappy hotel room while I was away for work, didnt get chance to find them all which is why I was happy to come back today, with Goose of GooseandEgg, cache in good order, thanks.
This trip was a spur of the moment thing only first dreamed up on Thursday night, GooseandEgg wanted to clean up a few new caches in the North so with the weather looking good for today we left home at 6am and got back home at 11:30pm. Thanks for great day out.

This was another familiar code so we were soon able to produce coordinates that the geochecker liked. We have enjoyed the range of puzzles the COs have published during the States of the Nation summer scavenge games and have had a little competition between team members to see who gets a valid solution first.

The terrain for this one meant we had to carefully pick our way down a slope with rock out crops, tussocks holes both natural and animal made and some parts strewn with bark which was slippery. Fortunately the cache was located without any disasters. To our surprise the log book was blank giving us a second {FTF} at 10:00. All was well with the cache. After replacing the container we picked our way to one of the nearby paths.

Thanks for this puzzle and the hide Tassie Trekkers.
