Description

A simple multi cache published during the States of the Nation summer game

This quiet park in the middle of Burnie holds a special place in the history of the town.  At GZ you will find an obelisk with a plaque that describes this significant milestone.  The information on the plaque will give you the answers to the coordinates required to locate the cache container.  It can be found at

S41 03.ABC  E145 54.DEF

A = number of letters in the fifth word on the first line

B = number of letters in the last word on the second line

C = number of months mentioned on the third line, minus 2

D = number of letters in the surname of the Chief Agent

E = number of words on the fourth last line

F = number of letters on the second last line, minus 6

This park can get busy at times so please be careful that you are not being observed when you make your search.  Happy hunting

Need to spend the next 6 weeks going to and fro to the NWGH, so for a bit of variety we are engaging in a bit of caching in the area at least once a week. Found after a short search and back to the first well camouflaged place we looked. Thankyou for another one Sharnie's Tribe.

What an amazing little park. It was very breezy today. But, nonetheless this is a great little spot. If the fountain was operational and maintained that would have topped it off. Found on our way home from doing a little Christmas shopping in Burnie today. Easy find. TFTC Clan Cerberus

This morning while the ute was being sorted at ARB i took the opportunity to walk around the corner to look for this one. upon arriving at the park i didn't even know this was here the pointy thing was spotted so i headed over there where i gathered the required information. with a solved co-ordinance in hand i headed off in search of the cache, when i got to ground zero with a short search the cache was soon in hand, signed the log and placed it back into hiding. Have cached in this park before but never noticed the 'pointy thing'!!!!!!
After getting the answers we made the short walk to GZ which was nicely hidden from muggles but not from the train and its driver that pulled up nearby.
Thanks.

We had planned to come North to visit family in Launceston over the weekend but decided to take the long way detouring via Sisters Creek and Tullah to collect 2 dragon zones we did not have. Along the way we targeted a few caches and this was one of them. We always find it hard to access this area but we managed to park nearby. A quick solve and off to GZ. There were so many caches we went past as time was limited, but it gives us a reason to return. We travelled over 700 km and are still not home. TFTM

Hi Sharnies
We nearly by-passed this cache (time restraints) but stopped and went to the pointy thing to collate the info and find the cache
The info was quickly obtained and the true co-ords worked out quickly
We Sainted the cache at 1313 hours
Always enjoy walking through this park; which during my time in caching has had quite a few caches hidden in it
TFTC and cheers

Bit of road going on in the area but once at the posted co-ords the hunt was on. Worked out the answers and then set off for GZ....which turned out to be spot and the cache was soon in hand. Out of the way of prying eyes the log was signed, cache replaced and it was time to battle the road works again.

Thanks Sharnie's Tribe....Multi's are few and far between on GCA so good to get one when I can...

The start of a caching weekend with Goose&Egg began with a cache run toward Stanley, found this multi on our way through along with another in the park. tftc

This park has always deceived us, we've never found an easy way in until now. Well we had to dodge trucks and diggers and may have parked illegally (oops) but we made it. I worked out the coordinates easily and made the easy find at GZ. Thanks Sharnie's tribe for another great multi - and for making us finally get into this park. Hope we make Stanley before dark Whistle

Enjoyed reading the info at the 'pointy thingy'....and armed with the coords the cache was quickly spotted.
The cache and contents are in top condition. The park was completely empty, which was unusual.
Many thanks for a neat multi Sharnie's Tribe...cheers ST.

We had to come to Burnie to visit Spotlight which meant passing this as yet unfound cache. Of course we had to stop and collect information. Had seen this monument and plaque, a smaller version of the Burke and Wills beacons commemorating their journey.

We had no trouble collecting the data and converting it to coordinates. There were only two groups in the park this morning and they were well away from where our GPS indicated we should go. We thought we knew where we would need to search but no we needed to go further. We then found us in a very secluded area and soon located a well hidden cache container. We were pleased to find a blank log giving us a {FTF} at 11.15.

Thanks Sharnie's Tribe for a nice little multi cache in a pretty park. The cache will also give us useful scavenge points to add to Tasmania's States of the Nation points.
