Description

ANOTHER WALK ANOTHER NICE VIEW

One of the good things about caching is the good exercise you can get. This cache is only a short walk from the parking spot but it all helps. The view over Lonnie is very good from here. The name will tell you where it is when you get there so no hints are needed. The cache is a small log and pencil only. Enjoy.

This morning we were in Launceston to collect our tiles for our house, as we were early we grabbed a few select caches that would help with the Geosportz challenges.
a quick find at GZ was made. TFTC

quick find while out with goose and egg and Toolman
thanks for the cache

08-Mar-19
found with stainless steel rat and 1toolman after a quick search. TFTC

I found the graveyard no problems but finding the cache was proving a bit trickier. I circled, and I circled, and then I started climbing and looking and more looking and I was cursing you shazcol earfor not supplying a hint but then it isn't really needed as something caught my eye that was kind of out of place (but probably only to another geocacher) and then I had the cache in my hand, signed, returned and now logged. Great views too.

While in Launceston for a few days we managed to grab this cache in between family commitments. Cache was in great condition considering how long it has been here and it has also been quite a while since found. Nice to finally tick this one off our list. TFTC

04-Dec-16
I eventually found this after I stopped taking the hint so literally. I parked down the hill at a 'nearby' road and walked up. TFTC robtas.

07-May-16
Had an enjoyable walk up here. A great view and plenty of trails to explore. Almost had an embarrassing moment when I was contemplating how to climb over the fence - and then realised I could just walk around it! Thanks for the cache, robtas.

26-Jan-16
Parked in the street and walked up the easement and through the gate. From there it was over to the GZ and after a short climb and search, the cache was in hand. All good, log signed and cache repalced...

Thanks RobTas...wonder how long they have been there?

Been meaning to grab this cache over the last few days. So today we finally looked for it and yay we found it.

Have had this on the radar for awhile, each time I come up to Trevallyn reserve to find other caches I run out of time to pick this one up. Today was the day! Nice walk in which got the heart rate up . Looked around but was quickly running out of time so thought I might have to come back another day. Tried looking from a different angle and then I spied the cache - great I don't have to come back another day. I have already had a DNF today and was pleased not to have another. Good hide!

Wow, the number of caches along this power line clearing are almost countless. I admit that I too adopted nutwood's approach of a drive-by. The gate off Reatta Rd looks like it hasn't been closable in years (bent) & home owners are using access to store wood etc against their back fences. Took it slow though as there's some sharp rocks on the track. Nice view if you can blot out the power lines.

easy find, nice walk! Very HappyWhistleShhhhhhhAnxiousClan Griffin

04-May-14
An enjoyable find in another frog hiding location. We might have bent the rules a bit by parking next to it but I promise we got plenty of exercise throughout the day regardless! Very Happy

20-Apr-14
Found on an early Easter morning Cache run, nice easy stroll in and a quick find, TFTC Very Happy

28-Jun-13
This one had me thinking, as had made the mistake of reading clue first (oops), anyway after a bit more brain storming and reading other logs looked in the commonsense place and found it. Few very small swaps here also. TNLNSL. When back in car found had a black stowaway attempting to steal a meal of blood thru jacket, he was quickly evicted Wink

26-Aug-12
Well that was an invigorating climb to GZ. We obviously needed the exercise! I think going up was easier than coming back down though. TFTC

05-Jun-12
Nice blood pumping walk up the hill. Tried a few places before finding the correct one. TNLN. Thanks for organising the cache.

11-May-12
My legs are still burning after reaching this cache today! Nice views. TNLNSL, TFTC

12-Mar-12
Very nice views to be had here. Found the cache quickly after resorting to the hint. Thanks for the hunt Robtas.

06-Nov-11
nemesis be gone!!... The hint helped heaps !! Thanks robtas

03-Apr-11
I have been here before with no sucess and still wandered around without finding anything for quite a while.

Co-ords are about 10 meters out

When I decided to ignore the GPS and search I found the cache in the most logical spot.

02-Apr-11
Nice walk up the hill. Enjoyed the cardio after sitting in a car all day. Found with help of clue immediately. TFTC.

23-Mar-11
Parked again in a vacent driveway and walked/ran to gz. The rain was coming down while I made my way over the rocky, uneven and grassy trails. Got to gz and sure enough trees everywhere. After a small search I looked at the hint and found cache easy then. SL and returned. Walked back to the car in the rain again. nice interesting place. TFTC.

18-Mar-11
First graveyard I've been to without headstones. Logged at 1410hrs. TFTC; OldSaint.

07-Mar-11
At last. For ages this has been on our to do list but the logs made it seem like a waste of energy for an uphill walk. Once it was reinstated it became a priority today and the best bit was that we didn't have to walk up the hill but parked right next to it. Thanks.

19-Feb-11
Lots of hidey holes but found quickly Great view TFTC

13-Feb-11
TFTC, took a bit of poking about before we spotted it

27-Jan-11
Thanks for this one Robtas, I can now cross it off the watch list. TNLN Thanks

22-Jan-11
Thanks for restoring this cache. Great view over the river once we had scrambled up the hill. TFTC

20-Jan-11
Rode past on the geocycle after a workout in the Trevellyn Reserve. A nice easy find this time and did not even need the hint. TNLN. TFTC!

Clapping Have replaced it in a more obvious place. Dancing

08-Jan-11
Given the large amount of DNF's it looks like this cache may be gone, so we will archive it to take it off the list for now.
If the owner wishes to check it it there and/or replace it then this cache can be re-activated by posing an 'Unarchived' log

No Luck
Think enough have had a look now for this to have something done to it.

14-Apr-10
Thought it worth a try as I was in the area. Had a really good look but came up empty.

09-Nov-09
Came up from the big pipe. Had a quick look around the graveyard at all the obvious spots, had a read of the old logs and decided not to look too hard. If the previous searchers spent half an hour looking between the 4 of them I wasn't going to fare any better.
There were also heaps of spiderwebs, each with their owner sitting in the middle that I didn't wish to disturb....

02-Jun-09
SITE WAS EASY TO GET TO BUT DNF

13-Apr-09
Well we had 4 sets of eyes and were over the site like a rash. I put my hand in holes no sane man would and grazed leg on wobbly branch. All to no avail. Even called Ghost Hoo Walks to see if he had found it, but sadly he had not tried yet.

At least half an hour searching, can't work out why we couldn't find it as log suggests no that difficult.

We will return, we will triumph!

Pigbag

great hide but easy find

GabMil juniors found this one on an outing with the MadChilli mob whilst waiting for the darkness to set in to look at xmas lights. Signed the log.

19-Dec-08
In the vicinity with no gpsr but some time to spare waiting for the sun to disappear to look at the christmas lights we thought it was time for another look. With 4 kids and one big kid on the case it was 4yo Chilli who found this one within 2 minutes of arriving, spent half an hour earlier in the year. Found with the help of the junior department of GabMil

29-Oct-08
Finally! I had tried this one before with no luck, I was with in a meter from its actual location!!! Feels good to have found it now.
A fun little cache in Trevallyn!
Thanks for the cache

18-Oct-08
Took two goes to find it. Geocaching in the daylight is much easier! Found it second time around in the daylight. Watch out for the blackberries if you are wearing shorts. A nice small find this one.

Found after a short search and I found it not where I was expecting to...
TNLN, thanks robtas

06-Sep-08
Cache exposed. As previous cachers have noted, it's pretty uninspiring around GZ.

05-Sep-08
I'm tied between 2&3 thumbs up. The cache was well hidden (well actually it was more obvious than I first thought), an the walk/climb there was refreshing. But the impact that the human race has made upon this probably once beautiful area is horrendous. Damage to landscape, a dead possum and lots of rubbish to be found (CITO). I also saw some muggleteens having a pash'n'dash.

I've decided I'll give 3 thumbs, it's worth stopping just to see the damage that we have done.

09-Aug-08
Came up out of the smog to find this one with most of the views obscured.Enjoyed the 68m of exercise from the vehicle...still puffing. Found easily...TNLN..TFTC...robtas...Cheers.

29-Jul-08
I found this one with out much fuss….
But then I suppose I should have seeing as I was there when it was hidden.
Thanks RT, great name too by the way LOL…

This would have to be the longest I have spent trying to find a cache in ages and I had an extra pair of eyes with me today,
No excuses just cache blind I think,
Thanks Robtas,
