Description
Powering Up Geocaching Australia
For many years Geocaching Australia was powered by a HP Proloiant DL360 G4 webserver. We also had one as a spare just in case we needed it or we chose to seperate the webserver from the database server. These were upgraded to a significantly beefier DELL machine with heaps of RAM, CPU and disk and so the original servers were retired. After years of lying idle and collecting dust the servers have been dismantled and parts have been used to create moveable geocaches.
The geocache you are looking for today is one of the hot swapable power supplies (see gallery for original hiding location and picture). The PSU weighs a little over 1kg and so is a hefy little device with a decent length to it too. Attached are a key tag identifying the geocache by listing number (GA11788) as well as a bison style tube for your logs.
Find this geocache, admire the device which hept Geocaching Australia powered for so long and then move it along. The device is completely unprotected so don't be at all surprised should it start to show signs of wear, tear, rust and possible hiding placing for spiders. Finder beware.

Wow how lucky to find a piece of history.
I'll admire this one that's still in great nick.
Now where to hide will be the fun part!
