Description

The Darebin dragonZone was a little light on for caches.   So to remedy that, LuckyL10n and I placed a couple of caches to flush any potential Darebin cachers out.

This is an easy find, with some sort of views of the area below from GZ.   The park is also a neat place to have a wander round just to enjoy a bit of the outdoors.

LuckyL10n was with me when the cache was place and will log a find after the FTF has beem claimed.

A hint is included and there is also a spoiler photo in the gallery.   Check it out if need be.

The first of the day and specifically targetted as a part of GeosportZ2018 for being close to a sports ground. A nice easy find at this location with the most obvious location holding the geocache.
Took nothing, left nothing.
Thanks to our interstate friends for hiding geocaches so far from home. Not every site will allow you to do that you know Smile

After ticking Moreland off our list we headed to the recently published caches in Darebin. Accurate co-ordinates and a good hint lead to a quick find of a well hidden cache. Container and contents were in good condition. The area was surprisingly quiet for Easter Saturday.

Thanks for the cache Sol de Lune and for placing it in Darebin as before this cache and LuckyL10n's nearby cache were published there were no caches in this Dragon Zone for us to find.

Twenty years... that's how long we'd been campaigning for the link between the Darebin Creek and Yarra Trails to become a reality. And this morning, the ribbon was cut to celebrate the opening of the new bridge over the river.

I missed the party, but decided to mark the occasion in the most appropriate way: riding across to see if I could get a few smileys.

What a wonderful afternoon; beautiful sunshine, almost no wind, and the most peaceful glide into far Kew, before turning toward home.

I don't know how many times I've ridden this path as a cheeky link to the north... but it's great to get a smiley here. Thanks, Sol de lune.

#GA2577 - 00:00; I was out and about with the CO on a caching mission in Victoria and filling a few zone holes when this cache was placed. Now that it has been logged, I'll log my claim as well. Hope a few of more of the locals as well as us interstaters will visit this lovely little park to take advantage of this hide to add another dragonZone to their tally. A couple of new GCA caches and a moveable I haven't seen before tempted me to a short detour on the way home from work. The were a couple of muggles nearby but I was shielded by a big tree so I was able to quickly grab, sign and replace the cache.
Thanks Sol de lune for the cache.
