Description
At last a cache for Darebin
The City of Darebin is a local government area in Victoria, Australia, in the northern suburbs of Melbourne. It has an area of 53 square kilometres (20.5 sq mi), and at the 2016 Census, Darebin had a population of 146,719. Municipal offices are located at 350 High Street, Preston.
The City of Darebin was formed in 1994 with the merger of most of the former Cities of Northcote and Preston, with the transfer of the portion of the City of Northcote off Heidelberg Road to the City of Yarra and minor adjustments with the former Cities of Coburg, Heidelburg and the Shire of Diamond Valley.
Darebin was rated 386th of 590 Australian Local Government Areas in the BankWest Quality of Life Index 2008.
The lack of GCA caches in the City of Darebin has probably contributed to its placing in the bottom third in the BankWest Quality of Life Index 2008.
This situation has now been rectified and a move up the rankings can be expected.
Cache on.....!

TNLNSL. Thanks Luckyl10n.
The second Geocaching Australia geocache in Darbin this weekend. Noice I expect that a few more visitors will make Darebin move up on the list of desired dragonZones too.
Took nothing, left nothing.
Can I take over Darebin for Griffin?

No muggles here today so that while Mr Y'stassie went to look for Darebin Views Mrs Y'stassie headed towards this one.
Accurate coordinates and a good hint meant that the hide covering material was soon spotted and the cache uncovered. Container and contents were in good condition.
Thanks for the cache LuckyL10n. It was good to see this one published in a Dragon Zone where there were previously none.
Another Dragon Zone ticked off.
Twenty years... that's how long we'd been campaigning for the link between the Darebin Creek and Yarra Trails to become a reality. And this morning, the ribbon was cut to celebrate the opening of the new bridge over the river.
I missed the party, but decided to mark the occasion in the most appropriate way: riding across to see if I could get a few smileys.
What a wonderful afternoon; beautiful sunshine, almost no wind, and the most peaceful glide into far Kew, before turning toward home.
A last quick find in the dwindling light before the ride home. Thanks, LuckyL10n

Was with Luckyl10n when the cache was placed, as we are trying to increase the number of Geocaching Australia hides in those areas that are a bit thing on the ground. With family in Melbourne I will be able to check these caches when in the area.
This is a neat little park and hopefully that, and the caches, will bring other cachers out here.
Thanks for the cache LuckyL10n....
I saw these new caches published last week but didn't get a chance to head out til today. There were no muggles about so I was able to quickly make the find, sign the log in the FTF position and replace the cache in its neat little hiding spot.
Thanks LuckyL10n for the cache.
