Description
At last, a cache for Maroondah.....!
The City of Maroondah is a local government area in Victoria, in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne. Maroondah had a population of approximately 110,000 as at the 2016 Census.
The City of Maroondah was created through the amalgamation the former Cities of Ringwood and Croydon in December 1994.
Suburbs located in the City include Ringwood, Croydon, Heathmont, Ringwood East, Ringwood North, Warranwood, Croydon North, Croydon South, Croydon Hills, Bayswater North and parts of Kilsyth South, Vermont and Park Orchards.
The city has long suffered from a lack of GCA caches, however that situation has now been rectified and the quality of life in the region lifted accordingly.

I needed two GCA caches for a research task so having two in the same park was a no brainer.
A simple find, a bit away from the co-ordinates, but it was the most logical spot.
Took nothing, left nothing.

After beginning my day in Kilsyth, I drove to Tullamarine.
Next was Campbellfield to Bayswater North.
A lap of our great city.
Finishing nearby I consulted the app and discovered these two caches a few minutes drive away.
This was the first cache on my radar and the satellites led me a merry dance.
When I found the cache I realised that I had taken a cursory glance here five minutes earlier but not tried hard enough.
All is well in Maroondah.....!

I saw these when they were published but they're a little out of my area. I was in the area today so headed across for a look.
A nice quick find here today between passing muggles.

We were pleased to see two GCA caches published in the Maroondah LGA in February this year. These were added to our list of caches to find when next in the area.
Today we were passing by so stopped to look for this cache. Our GPS had difficulty settling so it took a little while to locate the cache. The container and contents were in good condition. When we checked the GPS it indicated the cache was found 12m SE of GZ.

I was with Luckyl10n when the cache was placed. The area is a little void of Geocaching Australia caches so a few caches in the area son takes care of that. With family in the area, the caches will be checked when in the area.
A neat little green space that is deserving of a cache or two, so hopefully others will follow suit and come out to make a find.
