Description

Take a photo of something that looks weird to you

Muggle Hubby did a double take as he drove past this building site, then backed up to show me the weirdness too.

I took advantage of the opportunity to take this photo.

Can you spot what caught his attention? Why would they have done it that way?

Has the builder misconstrued the architect’s plans?

CONGRATULATIONS GOLDEN WATTLE ON First To Find

In line with amendments made to requirements for listing and finding a Locationess geocache, this geocache has been reviewed and found not be in line with the listing requirements.

https://wiki.geocaching.com.au/wiki/Locationless_cache
Armchair style Locationless caches where the finder is not required to explore the real world, identify a location and accompany the "Find" with photographic evidence are no longer accepted.
A Locationless cache listing must require the finder to locate an object or perform a task in the real world, collect the co-ordinates and log the find with accompanying photographic evidence.

The geocaching community would like to thank you for listing this Locationess geocache and congratulations to all that found this locationless geocache.

As the geocache no longer meets the requirements we will archive the cache listing.

We recently walked the Lucy Track in North West Tasmania getting the caches along it that were DNF's on our last visit. Didn't notice this on the way but did on the way back. Somebody's idea of a joke I guess!!
Thanks.

Checking some of the older caches and found this one. One a recent trip home from Bundaberg after moving my M-i-L into a nursing home, we were 2 of the only 3 passengers on the plane. Grabbed a photo to show the rows of empty seats behind us.

Thanks for another cool locationless Cybergran V...

Found this today in Beechworth. Definitely weird. I’m not sure if it was left there for a joke or by mistake.

In 2018 we travelled to New Zealand and saw several things that we rather odd.
1. Old Car that was on the road side was turned into a garden bed.
2. Two rocks that looked like a chook and a sheep
3. Accommodation in old silos
4. Containers used as a safety guard against landslips
5. Troll carvings - which are a tourist attraction
6. Toilet that looked like a slug, I wont tell you where the door was.

I came across this locationless cache and it instantly brought back a memory!
I was once chasing a FTF funnily enough (which I got) and came across this on my way!

These burger buns were found in the middle of a nature reserve, right near the edge of the ACT border.

A whole heap of what looked light fresh burger buns lying in the grass? Definitely something weird with this photo!

Thanks

At home on a cold, wet winter's day in Tasmania. Bored and looking thru the list of locationless. My daughter emerged from her hour long preening session in the bathroom. Looking like an avocado - weird to be sure.. thanks..!!

A tree, carrying a bucket? ...
(another one on a log nearby... old paint tins)
Looked kind of weird to me, even more so in the reddish light of the setting Sun, while out finding 5 caches named after various Bruces, on Bruce Ridge Smile

Hi Cybergran V
I was doing a "Curse The Hider" cache in Longford, Tasmania and took this photo of an info board
When the photo was taken, the info board was clear
However, a spiritual form appeared on the board when I got home and checked the picture
Weird!!
Sainted at 0754 hours

I hope this counts. Walking to Wynyard Railway Station on Friday I see this guy trying to throw a shoe up into or on top of a lamp post. Why, I don't know, although I did see he had no shoes of his own. Curious I stopped and watched. Yes I was potentially watching a deliberate act of littering and perhaps I should have called him a "tosser"? But I know better than to pick arguments with odd people in the city. Watching, watching, and I was thinking his shoe throwing technique (straight up from right next to the post) wasn't that good and he was going to have to be very lucky if he was going to get the shoe on top of the lamp post.

A lady (his girlfriend) came up to encourage him, and I think a couple of commuters were slyly watching on in wry amusement. Suddenly the shoe catches in the lamp post and the man woo hoos and cheers. A few quiet grins from the commuters. The lady also woo hoos and claps and I give her a friendly shake of the hand.

Well that's my story and I present you with a photo / work of art - " Man Throwing Shoe Onto Lamp Post " ! SurprisedShame on youAnxious

I found this scene in Hobart strange. The windows on the building are actually windows reflected from another building. When I saw it I photographed it because I thought it so weird. TFTC.

Before I published this I searched strange, weird, and other possible titles in case there was a similar Locationless, and, when I could not find a suitable lace to log this, I decided to publish it.
I will be watching the progress of this construction to see what the finished building looks like, and try to solve this anomaly
I’m looking eagerly forward to seeing what other strange oddities others may find to log this.
Please use photos you have taken yourself, it is not necessary to have either you or your GPS in the photo, but the coordinates of where you took the photo is.
Have fun.
