Description

Queensland is divided in to 20 degrees of latitude. How many have you cached in?

The cache container IS at the listed coordinates.

To complete this Challenge cache, you must find TEN qualifying caches. Each of your qualifying caches must be in one of TEN unique degrees of LATITUDE. Furthermore, each qualifying cache must be in the Australian State of QUEENSLAND. Qualifying geocaches may be listed on either Geocaching Australia or Groundspeak.

Some extra Rules and Guidelines -:

  1. To determine if a cache you have found qualifies for this Challenge, please examine the "Placed Coordinates" and the "State" on the listing.

    Cache Listing

In the above example, we see that the latitude degrees is "S27" and the cache is placed in "Queensland". This cache would be a suitable qualifier for this Challenge.

  2. Only ONE cache from each degree of latitude may be used as a qualifier.

  3. For the purposes of this Challenge, your qualifying caches MAY NOT include any Locationless, Moveable, or Event types.

  4. Queensland is divided into 20 latitude degrees - from S09 to S29.

  5. The degrees of latitude of your selected qualifiers need not be consecutive to each other. For example, the below list of latitudes would be acceptable to select qualifying caches from :

    S16, S17, S19, S20, S21, S24, S25, S26, S27, S28

  6. Please list your TEN caches in the format: Latitude, GC Code, Cache Name, Date Found

    For Example:

    S20 GCHA2T Porky Gorge 26/08/2017
    S21 GC3086A Black Bonanza 29/07/2011
    .... etc.

  7. You MAY sign the logbook without having found 10 qualifying caches. However, you MAY NOT post a"Found it" log until you have fulfilled the requirements for the CHALLENGE.

  8.  Any "Found it" logs that have NOT fulfilled the requirements for the CHALLENGE will be DELETED.

  9. "Log to follow" Found it logs (or similar) will be DELETED if the Challenge has not been completed.

  10. FTF honours will be awarded to the first cacher who fulfils the requirements of the CHALLENGE and also signs the logbook.

5 thumbs up for the great memories triggered when putting together my list Smile
Cheers

Found this today with a geobuddy. Being from NSW and travelling extensively in NSW but not much over the QLD side of the border, I know without researching that I do not qualify for this challenge cache yet. So here is my write note. I normally don't bother to sign a logbook on challenges till I qualify, but I didn't realise at the time only QLD finds were eligible. That and I was with a geobuddy that wanted to stop, find and sign it seeing as we were in the area. Smile

Signed as a group with Minniek, Nibletricecakes, Fitzy_1965, and Albida33. I don't think I qualify yet - more Qld holidays needed.

Having visited a lot of the required Latitudes with the CO, it was a forgone conclusion that I would have sufficient to satisfy the requirements.

Today, I was in the area and stopped by to put my name in the log. Luckily, it was only short stroll from where I parked as I wasn't looking forward to any long walks in the 30°ish heat. I spotted the likely hide as I approached but my phone rang (a PAF call). I can't remember finding the cache as I was concentrating on the discussion but after I finished the call I discovered that I had the cache in my hand. I must be getting good at this game if I can find then without thinking about them.

Here is my list of qualifying caches (plus a couple of extras)

Have had this on my radar for a while, and today found me Szooming along kind of past it, and sicne the CO has been known to stumble upon good spots, good hides and half decent challenges occasionally, reckoned it was worth the extra dribble of petrol to check it out. Shocked

Location - tick ... nice spot.
Hide - tick ... coords were spot on, container in excellent condition and the logbook A-OK indeed
Challenge ... well, I may have visited a few odd corners of this great state over the years, but seems no further north than S16 so far, but that still adds up to ten or something like that. You can count yourself can't you?

What a wonderful memory trip this has been of the fun we've had getting to and finding all these caches.
Today was our first opportunity since the cache publication to head over to this part of the world to find your cache.
The trip via Mt Glorious, Samford, Dayboro and Samsonvale areas getting to GZ was absolutely stunning. Very Happy
Thank you so much Fangsoki - a great challenge and a beaut little cache. Clapping
