Description

Once at GZ, use your imagination and you should be able to work out where the cache is hidden.   Thinking outside the box could help....maybe.

Anyway, once you work it out all should be good.

Please do not remove every rock to find the cache.   Once you're looking at the correct GZ, you will see the cache without too much issue.  Replace the cache as you find it and all will be good.

Geobash Easter Mega - Day #4 (Easter Sunday 31/3)

Day four saw me having a chill out day. I decided on going finding quality hides instead of quantity. The day started with the event GCAMJ0W but given I arrived early, I did the nearby tree climb. I also joined the flag parade up Mt Ainslie. I found a couple of historic hides as well as some higher terrain caches. I really enjoyed a day of taking it slow and not rushing around everywhere. I also avenged some previously DNFed caches which one of them I now understand why it took me so attempts to find it. I also found a few labs and once I got back to the motel it was time to get ready for my big power trail day tomorrow. TB visit. If the cache wasn’t signed as JohnoMawbs, it was signed as JM or as the tour group name. A big thanks to the CO for adding this cache to game for the Geocaching community to enjoy. Big Grin TFTE’s & TFTC’s Big Grin

After a long search, I ended up with a DNF on this one. Sad

Having travelled out to Temora today I was determined to get one last cache before Blitz finished. It is so great to avenge an earlier DNF, now that I understand what it is all about. TFTC Sol de Lune SL DancingDancingDancingClan CerberusClan CerberusClan Cerberus

I recognized the theme at the first cache, well as soon as I walked onto GZ it became clear, so confirmed at the fist cache and then went over to the second one and made a quick find here. Knowing exactly where it was going to be certainly helped with that. A great idea for a duo of caches in the location!

Looked for a while in the rocks and nearby. No luck.

I stood and looked, but didn't spot the cache, but someone mentioned it was "hidden by a rock", so maybe I needed to move a rock to see it. Then I took aboard the comment, "Thinking outside the box could help". So I searched around a large box, and gave extra attention to a boulder. Still couldn't find the cache. Back to standing and looking. Nope. I moved a few rocks and still nothing. DNF!

#GA3083 - 11:25; After grabbing the nearby cache yesterday and mounting a short but unsuccessful hunt for thgis one, I had an epiphany on the way home and decided to drop by again today for a second try. I don't know Y I didn't think of this when I visited yesterday, but the approach today made for a pretty quick find second time around, even with the GPSr refusing to settle. Spent some time looking left/right/up/down but didnt spot it. Suddenly it clicked and I went straight to it (although hidden by a rock which is why i missed it on the first pass). Clever.

Thanks

I don't know why I couldn't find this. Half hour searching with dripping nose and broken toes. Yep. Just trying to make you feel sorry for me. Haha. I went up, down and out, and even climbed! Nope.

I've not been much of a GCA cacher with a measly 13 to date. Today I felt like a walk down ANZAC parade and collect the series of virtuals. This was a very enjoyable walk in the cool breeze today. Once done I had a bit of daylight left so I ducked up Mt Ainslie to grab this pair. I've never been to this spot before but time was limited as a sign at the path entrance warned of firearms in use after 5pm, so I had to hurry. I managed to grab both comfortably, but it took a while to locate A3 as I had my origin wrong. Once A3 was sorted I was onto Y2 in a flash. Made it back to the car before any gunshots were heard !
Thanks SDL for this interesting cache.

Having scouted the area yesterday, I came up with a quickish find today. Glad I wore my boots and not heels.

...with the first cache in hand.. I quickly deduced where I should find this cache...

So I did the thing, and GZ should have been in front of me...

Or was it?

I searched high, I searched low. I messaged CO and said "I can't find it!"

He called me back and we discussed what I had done.. at that point.. a utility vehicle arrived.. ah damn.

So I used that opportunity to head over and grab a GC cache.. by the time I did that.. Water vehicle was gone and I was back on the hunt.

Using the info I got.. this cache may have a different name.. I counted twice and got a different result!

At any rate, I did find the cache.. put log book back in backwards (oops), realised that's not the way, got it out after some effort, then put it back in the right way...

Another FTF, TFTC Sol!
