Our second visit to this cache but again we couldn't find it. Got the green light from the checker so we're pretty sure we were in the right place? A beautiful spot

Hello OldSaint thank you for the cache.

I have been here a few times while writing roadbooks for Targa, but today was the first time I have stopped and had a look.

It is a lovely spot.

I read the information and eventually got some cords but they were on the other side of the river so had another look but couldn't work out where i went wrong so had a guess and it wasn't too long before I found the hide.

Arrived in Hounville after a scenic journey via Plenty Valley Road. A straight forward multi that resulted in a quick find - more chooks to supervise us here.

Well, here we are again back in this beautiful area, although with hindsight we probably should have chosen a day with better weather. On the way back home we were held up for about 15 minutes as a huge tree had fallen across the highway – thank goodness not as we were passing! The bear came caching with us today and he made a quick find at GZ. We then went through to Cygnet for BLTs and coffees at the Old School House. Thanks for the cache Old Saint.

We saw there had been new caches published linking New Norfolk to Huonville so we thought we might head off and find them and quite a few others in the Huon area that had been published while we have been away. As we had planned to see the grandsons play their soccer matches it was nearly lunchtime before we made a start. Seeing the New Norfolk end cache had been found we decided to head to the Huon Valley area and then work our way to New Norfolk via the Plenty Link Road.
When we got to GZ, right where we wanted to go there was a bridal party heading down to the water's edge to get married. We parked on the side of the road and managed to find two moveables amongst the 30 parked cars but thought we would keep going and return an hour or so later to work out the multi. When we returned the wedding photos were in full swing so we are probably in the background as we photographed the two signs and headed back to the car to solve. Once we had worked out how to count the lines we soon had coords the checker liked but now there was more of a problem, muggles were wandering all around GZ so we had to out wait them. Finally GZ was clear and the log was signed. TFTM

This was another of our target caches. We we got out of the car we wondered whether we should search a particular object but decided to collect the information first and do the calculations.

After some initial confusion, due to us having an early copy of the cache page and not realising an update had occurred, we finally made the correct calculations and had the coordinates for the cache. We laughed when we saw where the container was hidden. It was quickly located and the log signed. All was in good condition.

Thanks for the cache. No campRING was going on today and the area was exceptionally quiet - not even a muggle driver while we were there.

It was getting on for 4pm when we arrived here. I had checked this area out on google maps and knew we'd been here before and a sneak peek at street view revealed an outdated sign with information missing. With OldSaint biting his tongue nearby (making sure his adjustment worked out correctly), SSR and I worked out the next set of coordinates. We put them in the checker and were spot on the first time. We made the long journey to GZ and started our search. It didn't take my rodent friend long to spot the cache. It must be all those carrots he eats. No wait! wrong rodent Rolling Eyes sorry bugs.
I feel guilty claiming a FTF, knowing that AusandAus2 were "F'd" about on their visit. No, I am not swearing- those in the know will understand Wink
I am a multi cache fan, that bit of extra work in the field is more exciting than doing the work at home on the PC so I enjoyed this.
Thanks OldSaint for my 6th different type of cache today. Wow, the Huon Valley has a lot to offer any geocacher!

a great little multi
