Description
A WALK ON THE WINDY SIDE
This place is great for walking in the wind on your own or with the the mutts.
The cache is not hard to find but in an obvious place to a cacher
Logs
Needing Finds to achieve some of the challenges for the Geosportz 2024 games, we targeted some caches that would tick of the challenges.
We found a few and hid a few on a overcast windy sunday afternoon.
Having not been found for ages believed it might not be there anymore but after looking for 5 minutes was able to uncover the cache. TFTC

Well it was a bit windy the day we visited this place. And rocky. Tide was half way out and we wandered along the rocky shore to the cache location. Cache is in reasonable condition.
Managed to drive within 23 metres of the cache....that was good. Once at GZ, it was a case of low low low, but the cache was soon spotted and the log signed.
Thanks again Robtas......what an interesting beach???

Took a day out to Cache around the NW coast, a very quiet morning on the beach and not a lot of wind around so very pleasant today. A fairly quick easy find on a pretty stretch of coast. Left a scout TFTC
Beautiful day with just enough breeze to have a cooling effect.
A nice local had recently tractor mowed a path from near the carpark all the way along the back of the beach so walking was easy as was the ability to spot for snakes. None were seen even though I tempted fate and walked to the little lagoon near the cache. I haven't walked here for about 50 years so thanks for getting me back again.

Nice spot, but very windy as the title says! Found as part of a GPS lesson with Tortoise. Tide has been very, very close to cache but although it was a bit damp, it wasn't soaked.

This cache lived up to its name today. It was very windy, and something west of us was very dead! Made an easy find and got out of there in a hurry. TFTC
nice walk along well mown track to gz,then signed log and walked back along the rocky foreshore ,cache container was a bit squished as it was jammed and nearly covered up with sand and grit ,had to dig it out, thanks again robtas for another stroll along our wonderful coast.cheers etrexer
Hi robtas
What great views from this cache.
Ground zero was quickly found and saw the hide almost immediately.
It can't be that easy. Look, nothing. Lift, stll nothing. Has it gone? Lift, look and feel and a squashed cache box was extracted from its hide.
Look inside, three toys only and no log.
Tear off some paper from the back of a cache synopsis, sign it and put in in the treasure chest to replace it.
As I was, no after I'd replace the cache in its resting place a rock moved and plastic was noticed. Turned it over and there was the cache log stuck to the bottom of the rock.
Extract the cache box from its hide for the second time. Signed the proper log at 1331hrs and replaced the cache again.
Found this cache to be in an interesting hide and I repeat that I really enjoyed the views on what was a very sunny and windless day. How lucky is that?
Thanks for the cache and cheers; OldSaint.

Glad to see the locals have mowed the grass strip to the beach. Nice day and enjoyed the walk. We took Yowie Sting Ray and left Yowie Parrot. TFTC

No wind, but a bit of rain.
That was good though - meant I had the beach to myself. Nice spot.

Not even a hint of wind today. The only thing that was about in abundance were flies!!! pesky little things they are. Cache found very quickly. SLTNLN

A very pleasant morning, light breeze - ideal caching weather on Australia Day. Excellent views along the coast. Quick find
Found easily but I couldnt find the logbook.... thought I must have dropped it so I searched everywhere before deciding it wasnt there in the first place, now after reading forthferalz log I understand why, well done for doing some much needed maintenance. picked up TB
Live ten mins away and never knew this was here! thx Robtas.
Due to underestimating the placement of this one we had a surprisingly good workout! In fact I was wishing i had worn my boots. Another surprise following hoofprints. The obvious drive by approach was spotted from GZ. What was not a surprise - cache was wet and logbook taken home to dry out before it gets mouidy. Will replace the box with something more hardy when we return the logbook.

My feet got a little wet on the way in and the blackberry vines made a few puncture marks in my legs but nothing was going to stop me from finding another robtas cache today. Little T asked who had placed the cache and upon being told he said he was looking for a "log"... I think he's onto you robtas Thanks for the cache.

Lots of of unbroken Urchin shells and some very colorful small shells after the resent storms. Had a wonderful time walking along the flotsam and jetsam for a while.
When the cache name is "windy walk" you can't but help comment on the windiness! At 7pm on Saturday evening it was gloriously warm and calm - no wind at all. So I obviously picked a good day to find it! Thanks robtas.
Nice walk and beach. Wasn't windy, just sunny and a bit cool, though it does look like a windswept area.

It was not too windy when I set out for this one. Cache soon found and duly signed TNLN Thanks

Suspect this area is rarely not windy but still a very pleasant place for a cache.

A surprising cache to find that totally made up for my loss of face (and cache) at Rockhoppers hideout today. I forgot to record the co-ordinates for this cache or description and clues before our trip and all the CEyrettes had was the Google Earth map with the cryptic Win...and half a flag right on the border of the map. So using observations of rock colours on the beach, houses and the railway line disappearing under the hight way were were able to find the cache, not even knowing what we were looking for.
After all this the beach is well worth exploring with many interesting shells and urchin pieces to souvenir. We were interested in the swamp just a few back from the beach and had to wonder just how wildlife lived in it, i.e. was it a snake haven?
Thanks Robtas.

Just happened to be on the computer when this one popped up, so grabbed the torch and the wife and took off.
Cache was easily found as the coords were spot on.
It was real good to beat Sirius for FTF for once!
Many thanks Rob.

Found this one at night @ 2030...but too late for a FTF so it seems. All was quite calm at this hour. Easily found...co-ords good. Another nice neck of the woods...or coastline. TNLN...TFTC...robtas...Cheers.
