Description

A cache just off the Grassland Track, part of the Tangara Trial

The Tangara Trail is an almost invisible web of interconnecting trails between Seven Mile Beach and South Arm.  It often weaves between property boundaries and heads along quiet roads, beaches and bush trails.  There is good tangara trail signage all over the area.

Paroa Entrance

You can access this area from opposite Poroa Court with the track heading West from Gellibrand Drive, it is a short walk down hill before you turn North along the Grassland track towards the June Graham Track.

It's a great area and you can make many different walks creating your own loops, there are some great sights along the way, the trails are multi use so you could come across walkers, runners, bike and horses so watch out.

The cache has a few bits of swag inside feel free to swap if you see something you like.

Found after time spent alternating between family duties and caching, gotta grab a chance when you can. A fairly warm afternoon in amongst the trees but worth the challenge. TFTC

I with with stainless steel rat when he hid this cache and as we were in the area caching today I wandered down to find this one. We did it by memory and it was pretty easy to spot the location. I much prefer finding a large traditional than having to move a large movable

Hello stainless-steel-rat thanks for the cache.

This was the last cache for the day with EeePees.

I did like the large cache and log book.

After finishing today's mission in half the time we had allocated we decided to head to the eastern shore to look for some of the recently published caches. We hadn't intended to look for this GA but as it was nearby couldn't leave it on its own.

We enjoyed our short walk down the track to this hide. Accurate coordinates led us to a well hidden, large container. Container and contents were in excellent condition. After carefully replacing the covering material we noticed that the air was colder and dark clouds were heading our way so it was a quick walk back up the track to the car - no time to enjoy the tranquility of the bush this time.

Thanks for another good cache hide in a very pleasant area Stainless-Steel-Rat.

Hi the SSR, thanks for the cache. Was out and about with AlbyDangles today, with the aim of some finds around Sandford.
Turns out it took us nearly 4 hours to get to Sandford! This was the last for the area, and as Alby extracted the container, I said "this must be one of stainless steel rat's !!).
We enjoyed the vastness of the log book, so used a few lines when signing (pic will be attached shortly). It may well have been longer, but a) it was starting to dwizzle, and b) time was running out due to our earlier faffing about.
Thanks for the adventure.
Oh, and thanks to whitewebbs for leaving a 'convict' pathtag. I stole it, I mean grabbed it; as would be expected from a direct descendant of jolly fine 1st Fleet convict stock.

It was not a 'trial' to find this very large cache on the trail! We needed a dragon zone cache find today to mark Geocaching in Australia Anniversary day. Took cap left pathtag. Contents nice and dry considering this area had approximately 160 ml recently. TFTC

After a couple of wet days, today it was definitely time for the GeoGSP and I to go for a nice long stroll. We love this area so today headed to the area and grabbed this cache. All is nice and dry and safe and secure at GZ despite the recent weather events. Thanks for the cache SSR!

Hi SSR
Had to visit the big smoke today so after completing the necessary business, we moseyed on down to look for this cache
Just a short walk had me to GZ in reasonable time and a quick find was had
With no other signatures, the cache was Sainted at 1235 hours for an unexpected *FTF* - Thanks Stainless,
All returned as found and so I walked leisurely back to the car and drove to the "CIRCLE" for another find
TFTC and cheers
