Description

An offset multi with a short walk to GZ

You should be able to access the information required most of the time as the hotel is open 7 days and until late.
People often visit the hotel as there is lots of history here and the grounds have many sculptures.

Found this one without too much trouble. We had to get the clues from the internet but we got there in the end. The building looks like it has been closed for quite while and will be for the foreseeable future.

We have been looking at this one for a while and with the building works we thought that we may be out of luck but a bit of research found the answers to the questions.

As we were in the area we dropped in on the off chance and found that GZ was reachable so we went for the hunt and made a quick find.

Thanks for the cache Kittykatch.

Smittengranny and I went looking for close GA caches after the New Years event at the Museum. This was a close one and did help the CO to place ages ago. I forgot to log so went looking and found it again with SG. The cache was exposed and not hidden. So replaced in hiding spot and covered up. Cache otherwise in good condition.

Fitzy_1965 (F65) and minniek (MK) picked ACTchil (AC) and I up for a fun caching day around Canberra. Fitzy_1965 had prepared a list of some nice drive by's and other caches and a nice little multi or two. We bypassed this way and stopped to get the details, and solved quickly entered the final coords into our gps's and the boys were heading in the right direction F65 went straight ahead and I decided to go round and found the easy way in and saw f65 had the cache in hand, retrieved the log sign and replace. great hide tftc Kittykatch and thanks F65 and MK for an awesome day.

Today turned out to be a glorious day caching with fitzy_1965, Darzee Di & ACTchil after a foggy start. Did a bit of GCA & GC caching along the way.

Thankfully found a carpark nearby....wandered in for the required info then took a seat outside to do the calculations. fitzy & ACTchil headed off and disappeared before Darzee & I could say boo. We got to GZ to find the boys still looking. Di found the easy way in and fitzy eventually came up with the find.

GCA 2,042. Found on a fun day caching around Canberra with minniek, Darzee Di and ACTChil.

A quick drive in from Goulburn and a drive-by pick-up of our days caching companions soon had us on the hunt for both GC and GCA caches. This was the next find of the day. Enjoyed the history lesson at WP1. With GZ calculated off we went and found 'the other half'? from earlier this morning? Lol.

#GA2973 - 14:05; After a big bonus bash through the Blue Mountains with Sol de lune, today I headed out solo to collect a few more caches closer to home. After encountering a problem with parking at my previous stop, I managed to find a free park in the ANU, which is something of a bonus at the moment. Made my way to the posted coords, but had to rely on the hint to get me close enough to spot a likely hide and then retrieve the cache. I can only assume there is somebody out there wandering around with one bare foot Think Anyway, managed to make the find with GPSr indicating 20 something metres from calculated GZ, but still, a find is a find Very Happy TFTC Kittykatch Very HappyClan Cerberus

Ok, got 'im this time. Managed to grab a little hint for the location and everything worked out fine. Neat cache container that. My GPSr was reading a few metres away from the calculated GZ which has been relayed to the CO, just in case it needs to be checked. A weekend visit to this one is certainly recommended as there are no issues with parking and no problems heading in to find the required info.

Thanks KK....a neat little location that my work brings to me every (sitting) week or so.

Sadly, a DNF for me....

Tried this one a couple of weeks ago however I had an issue and didn't make it to GZ. Sorted that issue and returned today, but unfortunately after looking around my GZ, and a little further a field, nothing could be found. Went back inside just to check the details of what was required, then checked my maths.....and with those all good, I had to admit defeat.

There was an area away from GZ that I checked as something the CO mentioned did make that spot seem possible, but alas that didn't show anything either.

Thanks anyway KK.....
