Description
I went for a walk around Lake Monger the other week and decided that it is a beauftiful place and worthy of a GCA cache here. Some parts of the walk made me feel like i was in an enchanted forrest with the trees and the magnificent spider webs covering the trees and branches. Amazing and beautiful.
Lake Monger Reserve is a major Perth tourist and local community destination offering a mix of passive recreation areas, shared use paths, nature trails, shaded playgrounds, picnic and barbecue facilities and some sporting facilities for recreation use.
The middle of the park is taken up with Lake Monger, a habitat for an abundance of local flora and fauna making it a popular location to observe a wide selection of WA's beautiful birdlife.
Boardwalks and lookouts are provided around the lake from where you can take in the lake's natural beauty, with a lookout on the north side of the lake enjoying views to the Perth city skyline.
Bordered by Powis Street to the north, Lake Monger Drive to the south, Gregory Street on the west side and the Mitchell Freeway to the east, Lake Monger Reserve is easily accessed with plenty of car parking and a well-connected path network.
Lake Monger is also included in the Whadjuk network of walking trails which lies on Noongar land, connecting remnant bushland areas in the western suburbs of Perth. With links to iconic, heritage and Noongar trails in the area, they offer users a unique experience and appreciation for the land, catering for a large variety of interests.

Logs
Did a bit of retracing out steps to find the correct information but got there in the end.
Thanks dezzabills for the cache and pleasant walk around the lake. It was just a pity about the wildlife near GZ was so annoying.
Arrived at the first waypoint and obtained the necessary numbers, or so we thought, and then off to the next two to get the rest. I worked out the final GZ but it was in the lake so we went back to the first waypoint to check that information as we were sure of the information obtained from the second and third waypoint.
We worked out that we found one more bird on the sign that what was used for the calculations and that we interpreted 'B' wrong so used the other Ha number. We now had a viable GZ so enjoyed the walk to GZ and back.
Once near GZ we found that the GPS was still pointing out into the lake but checked the nearby logical spot for the cache where we found the container and a blank log so *FTF*. Log signed and cache returned as found.
Thanks dezzabills for the cache and pleasant walk around the lake.
