On an absolutely glorious day I was tempted to see how many points I could earn for Geosportz game. This was one of the caches that should gain me a few, and I was lucky enough to score a day when there were plenty of people out practising. TFTC KK Signed log.

Second time I've searched for this one (1st time was a long time ago). Poked around for a bit and eventually spotted it. Sitting in a pool of water, but the log was dry.

Thanks

This one was really hard to find. With so few find over time it seems always well covered by the time a new finder comes along. If it wasn't for Aykayems log I would have missed this as I was not expecting this type of hide at all. Thanks for the challenge and great fun Kittykatch.

Came home from work, via Dickson, for the GA event. forgot to wander over to look for the GA one nearby. (Oh well - if it isn't one I have found, but forgotten to log, it will be a good one to go and find after my next psychologist appointment, in Dickson, in a few weeks time) So ... I pulled in here so I could look (on my phone) if there were any GA caches to find around here or on my way home ... yep - this one.
I used to do Archery once - took it up in the early 80s, in Adelaide ... bought a second hand bow, and some new arrows and other gear, made myself a nice leather quiver to carry my arrows in, and actually ended up becoming quite good at it (as in even coming first in "senior ladies recurve" in the South Australian championship one year - first competitive sport I had tried and been anything other than rather useless at (seems I am not good at any sport that involves playing as a team, running, balls, bats/sticks/clubs/raquets/etc ... or anything like gymnastics, or athletics - that requires one to be at least sort of even half coordinated - lol - but archery, and sailing, and bushwalking ... seemed to be more suited to me ... and it was so good to actually have something sporty that I was ok enough at to be competitive, rather than being that weird girl who always came last)
TFTC ... and the memories - including one really weird one I almost forgot to mention - at one stage, not long after moving to Canberra/having kids, I was contemplating taking Archery up again (I had stopped doing it once I joined the Army) but I ended up deciding I didn't have time ... but while I was contemplating it, I came to this particular Archery club for a visit and enquire about membership, etc ... and I got talking to someone about what sort of bow I had, and (because I had it in the car) I showed it to him, and he recognised it - as the exact same how that be used to use, when he lived in Adelaide! - he had sold it to the person I had bought it from ... and then regretted it, because it was a good bow, and be didn't like his new one as much - lol
Anyway ... there didn't seem to be many hiding spots at GZ ... had a bit of a look here and there, for a minute or 2, then sat on the coppers log to read some logs for a couple minutes ... started to wonder if it had gone missing, so while I was wondering if I should message the CO, and deciding I should have a bit longer look for it before doing a something like that, I wandered over to pick something up from the ground, that i had seen while looking the first time, and was wondering if I should take it home (in case I wanted to use it for something weird) , or not - and I noticed a bit of familiar something right beside it ... yep - the cache - lol
oops - I think I almost wrote a book here ... wonder if there is a word/character limit on GA logs? Smile

Went to collect, and it was waaayyy to busy.

Came back and the crowds were starting to die down. Didn't want to hang around too long, still couldn't see it.. but wandering around cars and kids would look a bit suspicious... so I'll be back for this one

On my way home after work I was looking for a GA cache to do. It took me in some very busy traffic, but once at GZ it was very calm and I was able to find this cache without any issues.

Thanks

Today turned out to be a glorious day caching with fitzy_1965, Darzee Di & ACTchil after a foggy start. Did a bit of GCA & GC caching along the way.

Quick find here today. I picked up the cache after fitzy had dismissed the spot.

GCA 2,038. Found on a fun day caching around Canberra with minniek, Darzee Di and ACTChil.

A quick drive in from Goulburn and a drive-by pick-up of our days caching companions soon had us on the hunt for both GC and GCA caches. This was the next find of the day. Parked nearby and walked up to GZ. After about a minute we came up with the goods !

#GA2977 - 15:10; After a big bonus bash through the Blue Mountains with Sol de lune over the last couple of days, today I headed out solo to collect a few more caches closer to home. After a semi successful country cache run, I was now back in the 'burbs. After collecting a few caches around the ANU and Black Mountain, I was heading home. After a detour on the other side of Northbourne Avenue, I headed over to collect this cache. Thought I had an idea of what I was looking for, but recent flood debris was making things a little harder than I'd expected. I was about to take the PAF option when I spotted something familiar. Not quite what I was expecting, but not too difficult if you're paying attention. TFTC Kittykatch Very HappyClan Cerberus

After missing out at my first target, but still needing a cache today, it was over to this one. Parked in the obvious car park and took the short walk to GZ. Took a minute to uncover the cache, however all was good and my name was soon in the log. Looked like the local archers were about to kick off....

Thanks KK.....nicely placed.

Was sitting at home resting and decided to log my finds from yesterday, when I saw that this one had been published and no-one had found it yet so quickly loaded it up on my gps along with the other 2 published ones and jump in my car, dressed in my daggy old trackie pants. I pulled into a car park and walked to 120 odd metres to gz, and saw the likely container, have seen them before and even have one of my own hides in the same container. I looked around and there were people playing hockey so leant over to do my shoe lace up and grab the log and sign it and put back safely. So happy that I got FTF. Thanks KittyKatch
