Description
52 Pick-Up - Eight of Hearts
Ever played 52 Pick-Up ? I'm sure I was taught this wonderful game when I was young - the hard way - by one of my brothers (not mentioning any names So Don't Laugh)....
If you haven't heard of it - google is your friend, and who ever you teach it to may not last as your friend much longer ;-)
I'm using this game as an excuse for a new series of caches - I hope you enjoy one, several or all of them !
Eight of Hearts. As well as the playing card it has been a Digital Album and a clothing line.
BYO Pen and enjoy the hunt !

Highway; heading north. Room for a caravan. Road guard at Billabong Creek.
I picked this up today. The cache outside was filthy and I wiped the dirt off on the grass, but the inside was as new. Will move it on. TFTC fitzy_1965.

I was in town catching up with friends for a few days and happened to see this one on the map. I swung past to grab the moveable and a few photos. A couple of club cars were nearby so had to wait for them to move along so I could 'pick up' and head off.
This one is therefore now in my possession and will be moved asap.
Thanks fitzy_1965 for the moveable cache.

now accompanying a GC cache at One Tree Hill lookout
Reading previous logs for this moveable indicates that the cache is still in location, just sitting there waiting to be found. So, if you're in the area, or simply passing through, why not stop and help it on its way again.....
Hiding below a descendant of the original Lone Pine.
A quick find on our way home from a day visit to the Riverland. Is there a series of GCA moveables based on a full deck of Uno cards?
This geocache is no longer at the current coordinates as it's awaiting it's next move at J & J Central.
Thanks fitzy_1965.

Picked up along with quite a few others and they are now all on their way to Bendigo via Echuca over the next couple of days.
Having had a smooth trip on the Spirit of Tasmania, and an equally smooth trip by vehicle northwards, this moveable is now comfortably residing at Shepparton until it is collected to continue its journey
We collected this one last night in Devonport, after a lovely farewell dinner with 2y’stassies
Today he is on board the Spirit of Tasmania to start a new adventure on the mainland
Thanks for the opportunity of moving him
And hopefully another footstep towards my destination

On our recent trip to the south of the state we collected up a few moveable caches, today they were passed on to another team who will help them continue their journeys, thanks for travelling with us for a bit

Journey or Destination
Game Period: 01-Dec-2018 00:00:00 to 31-Jan-2019 23:59:59 AEST
It is sometimes said [citation needed] that the game of geocaching is not about the destination it is about the journey. This game is about the choices you make in the experience of the journey or the destination.
On your entry to the game you will be asked to create a playing field with a number of ground tiles. Your playing field is a grid 20 x 20 ground tiles making a total number of 400 possible steps you can take on your journey or destination. You choose whether you want to find and follow the path or whether you wanted to meander around. A playing field is unique to each player so there is no benefit in teaming up to beat the system through brute force.
For each qualifying geocache that you hide or find during the game period you will be offered the opportunity to click on a ground tile and reveal what lies beneath. There are a number of different ground tiles that will be revealed when you click on your playing field. It should be noted that there are no punishments for clicking a tile but there will not always be the reward you were hoping for as you reveal each tile.
Dirt. The ground beneath the ground tile is just plain old brown dirt.
Dirt with some points. The ground beneath the tile is brown dirt but it has some points associated with it.
Concrete. The ground beneath is part of the pathway that will lead you on your way to your destination but has no point value.
Start. A concrete ground tile that has a blue map marker.
Destination. A ground tile that has a green map marker.
Meandering around and avoiding the path will accumulate points that will be used to place on you the ladder of wanderers. The more you stay off the path the higher the number of points you will accumulate and it will be your journey that will be the determining factor in whether you place into a prize winning position. You are free to select any ground tile to click on; they do not need to be next to each other.
Trying to find the path may mean you strike out on the dirt until you eventually come across the path and as a geocacher who can't say that this isn't a tried and true method. Once you find the path however will you try and follow the path as it changes direction around your playing field? Do you go North, South, East or West to try and find the next concrete tile along the path? If you head one way are you heading towards the start or towards the destination? When you do happen upon the destination tile then you will automatically be in a winning position.
At any point you are free to change from the journey to the destination and vice versa but you won't be able to regenerate your playing field. You are also free to keep playing as long as you have qualifying geocaches, accumulating more and more dirt tile points and placing you higher and higher on the ladder.
Qualifying geocaches fall into two categories. Finds and Hides.
A qualifying find is a geocache that meets the following criteria:
The geocache is listed at Geocaching Australia
The geocache has a hidden date prior to the game commencing
The geocache was logged by you on the Geocaching Australia website during the game period
The geocache was physically found by you during the game period
The geocache is not owned by you unless it is a moveable geocache
The geocache has not previously been found by you during the game period
The geocache is one of the following types:
Burke and Wills
Moveable (you will qualify only once for a find on a moveable geocache)
Traditional
TrigPoint
Augmented Reality
Beacon
Gadget
Multi-cache
Night Cache
Podcache
Reverse
Unknown or Mystery
A qualifying hide is a geocache that meets the following criteria:
The geocache is listed at Geocaching Australia
The geocache has a hidden date after the game has commenced
The geocache was published on the Geocaching Australia website during the game period
The geocache has a container size of regular or larger (Note: A regular geocache has a volume of 1 litre or more)
The geocache is one of the following types:
Moveable
Traditional
Augmented Reality
Beacon
Gadget
Multi-cache
Night Cache
Podcache
Reverse
Unknown or Mystery
The game tracking mechanism relies upon your honesty when logging geocaches as found or hidden.
The games administrators will undertake verification of a statistically significant number of logs.
Players who continually log inaccurate information will be disqualified from the game. The game administrators decision is final.
The game administrators will subtract qualifying hide or find geocaches from your tally if they are found to be not genuine.
The game administrators reserve the right to provide clarifications to the rules at any point during the game.
Don't forget to claim your limited time game trophies, if your qualify, while the game is in progress. Once the game completes the ability to claim your trophies is lost for ever.

We needed to hide some of the moveable caches that we have in our possession and dropped this one off along the way to Launceston. This cache started it's Tassie journey in the north west of the state and is now in the north waiting for it's next move. TFTC
A quick find in an area we visit fairly regularly. Great food and coffee available and now also a place to find some moveable caches. We'll move this one towards the north of the state to continue it's Tassie journey. TFTC
Left beside the highway with a couple of other moveables
Before we started heading south today we check our route for moveable caches. We added these to our list and this was the first moveable collected. We were surprised to find this cache here as the coordinates sujested it was elsewhere. We will take this one for a short journey before releasing it.
A muster of old moveables in Canberra was called for, so a heap were collected and they have now made their home in and around Melbourne......hope they enjoy their new surroundings.
Time for a muster of some of the moveables in Canberra. This one is now in my hands and heading off to Melbourne to find a new home and hopefully found a few more times.
Found tonight and thought what a great idea for a series. Will move on shortly. Tftc Fitzy_1965

Found with Kittykatch after a GC event. Will move this on when I have a spot to leave them. It was fun chasing these down and a great idea. Tonight when picking them up it went from no rain to a raging wind/rain storm but we still got them

After a long time hanging around, this one has been grabbed again.
Another neat series of moveables....with an obvious change to continue it one with the other suits.
Have always enjoyed a game of 52 pick-up...great fun to play, especially with an unsuspecting younger sibling. As the listing says, So Don't Laugh
Thanks fitzy_1965.....look forward to seeing more.

Dealt this one out with its mates for another hand.....
#GA3035 - 14:00; Stopped by to drop of another trackable I had collected on a recent trip north and discovered a bunch of moveables I was not expecting to be here. The previous log suggested these had been picked up, but it seems they weren't, so happy to claim a belated *FTF* as a bonus. TFTC fitzy_1965

Dropped - but already in the hands of another cacher !
Grabbed these new movables off fitzy_1965 which I'll more than likely release in Canberra later in the week. I won't be claiming FTF.
Neat idea for a series of movables. Having fallen victim to the game in my youth, there is no need for google here!
