A cache placed at the Marion Bay Viewing Platform
At the end of Marion Bay Road you will find a not long completed Viewing Platform from which you can get just about 180° views of the Bay.
The views make it well worth the drive out here, to the North you can see Cape Bernier and Maria Island, to the South you can see Cape Paul Lamanon, Cape Frederick Hendrick and Visscher Island.
You are looking for a micro cache that blends in well with it's surroundings.

out and about with the RAFAS caching on a wonderful day, car park was full so lots of surfers were enjoying waves, it took a bit of searching until the required object was pointed out, went passed it a few times. TFTC TNBPLN log dry.
Thanks for the cache Stainless-Steel-Rat. RLD4963, the GeoGSP and I decided to head east for the day to find some geocaches. It was a gorgeous day, and we drove along a few roads I hadn't been before, and a few I had.
This is a great place for a cache, and the GeoGSP and I have been here a few times - as a result the GeoGSP was very keen to get down to the beach and go for a run, whilst RLD4963 and I were keen to find the cache. There were a few people around, so it took a few goes before we could have a decent look for it - but RLD4963 spotted it and the log was soon signed and the cache returned.

It was getting very late in the day and I was determined to return to Orford before the sun slipped below the horizon. Scanned the map and with this cache and GC cache ‘Doon’ so very close by an ‘two for the price of one’ decided that a quick dash would see these as the last finds for the day. Note, as it turned out I couldn’t but resist grabbing another two a little later on after these. With the cache title I reckoned that I knew what I was looking for. Once a couple of sightseeing muggles buggered off, commenced the hunt and had the cache to hand in quick time. Excellent hide, nice local views too.. thanks..!!
When we arrived in the parking area we were surprised at the developments that have been made in the area. The viewing platforms and informative boards are a real asset. We spent sometime reading the information and taking in the views before looking for the cache. We knew what we were looking for and soon spotted the container that blends into its environment well. Non cachers wouldn't give it a second glance.
Thanks for another cache in this area Stainless-Steel-Rat. The views here today were spectacular.

Another new cache in a beautiful part of Tasmania. This new viewing platform is great, taking in such a vast area. It's the sort of view that is constantly changing with the weather and activity on the water. I never get tired of it.
Thanks for a sneaky hide.

Wow! Boy do we love Tasmania. We visited Marion Bay many years ago and walked onto the beach and that was great but that new viewing platform really takes it to a new superior level. What a magnificent all round view, whichever way you look and the historical signage puts the icing on the cake. The cache was a very quick find (name and hint) which gave us more time to spend taking in the view. The sky was mostly grey and dull but I think it is good to see the bay like that as well as when it is bathed in glorious sunshine. A different ‘container’ and such a spectacular view makes this one of our favourite finds. Thanks SSR.

2nd to find. We headed out to do a loop of newly published caches and this was one we found. This area needed a few more caches, so thanks for placing. Deserves a favourite, certainly a great place to visit. The council has created a very nice viewing area since I was here last. Liked the hide (I have a couple of those to hide as well!) TFTC
