Today our plan was to cache along the Plenty Valley Rd and this was one we found on our journey. Enjoyed the drive and scenery along this road that we had not traversed before. Thanks for bringing us to a new location. We love exploring these back roads. Quick find here.

Many thanks Old Saint for publishing this cache and adding to our geocaching experience.

Thanks for the cache OldSaint. Out today with RLD4963 and the GeoGSP. Neither of us had ever driven along this road before, so it was all a new experience for us (the GeoGSP is not allowed to drive, but he is very good putting his head out of the wind with his tongue hanging out Very Happy ). This is where we spotted our first burnt out car for the day - I think our tally for day got as high as 6! Two pairs of eyes succeeded in spotting the hide. Cheers.

Out and about with the Rafas for the summer GCA game, New Years Day caching with god company. Driving on a new road to me as I have never been out this way before. Nice views towards the middle section but concentrating on driving so missing some of the views. went around in circles for a while but found in the end. TFTC TNLN log dry.

Hello OldSaint thanks for the cache.

I had been to a moist event at Franklin and was planing on coming back home this was so when I heard GooseandEgg, StainlessSteelRat and Toolman were also coming home this way I tagged along for the trip.
As the trip continued this cache was forth to be found.

TFTC.

As we approached this hide we thought we were approaching a Give Way sign only to find it was a derelict car with the boot up. Its sad to see the amount of rubbish that has been left in the old quarry - another CITO possibilty but old tyres are expensive to dispose of.

Our GPS wouldn't settle so we made good use of the hint and soon had container in hand. Our GPS was still indicating we were 7m north of GZ.

Thanks for another cache on this road Old Saint.

This was the last one of the three new ones. We arrived at GZ and it was cold here in the shade. We looked around and thought it could take a while but with accurate coordinates and a real GPS we went straight to it. Lucky, we scored our third FTF. We poked around for a bit trying to identify the shell here and eventually we found a model name inside.
Time has got away from us as usual and it's much later than we'd planned. We want to find a few others in the Huon so best keep moving. Thanks OldSaint for all your hides

Myself and gooseandegg had planned to do this road picking up the few caches along it, this was mid week and we were very pleased to see some new caches come out that were on the same road, what a bit of luck!

I was round the bird cage by 9.30 and on the road not long after, when we found the first cache of the day the jerry was still low and we had no views, not long after we were taking in some amazing vistas.

We had a great day out on a road I had never been on before.

Thanks for the cache. Oh and joint FTF with the Goose.

We saw there had been new caches published linking New Norfolk to Huonville so we thought we might head off and find them and quite a few others in the Huon area that had been published while we have been away. As we had planned to see the grandsons play their soccer matches it was nearly lunchtime before we made a start. Seeing the New Norfolk end cache had been found we decided to head to the Huon Valley area and then work our way to New Norfolk via the Plenty Link Road.
Having completed the caches in the Huon area we headed off to find 3 new caches and this was the first one we found. We have never travelled from Huonville through to New Norfolk on this road so enjoyed our trip. By the time we got here the sun was setting and we were looking intently but came up with the cache with the help of the hint. It is a shame about the dumped car and tyres in the area. The road was in good condition, considering the rough weather that has been in the area recently. It was about 6 degrees and rather cool, but by the time we got home the temperature had risen and was 9 degrees. Always warmer on the eastern shore! TFTC
