Description
A cache hidden along Russell Road Northwest of Lonnavale
Russell Road snakes it's way North from the junction of Pimple Rd and Lonnavale Rd, crossing the Russell River a number of times, as far as I can tell it doesnt go anywhere but into the bush.
The road is drivable in a 2WD car with only a couple of bits where the surface is uneven and rocky.
I hope you enjoy the drive and the cache

Got to explore this beautiful area while staying at River's Edge. Cache found at 13:00 hrs with Newy07. Unfortunately water had gotten inside container and log book too. Was still able to sign log book. Placed log book into new zip lock bag but it's not going to be able to dry out.
TFTC stainless-steel-rat!

"Hello stainless-steel-rat thank you for the cache.
I spotted the container down at the bottom of the stump and after a bit of a climb I soon had the cache in hand.
I think I worked out how the cache should have been hidden so I took it to the top of the stump and let it hang.
I hope I have put it back right.

Went caching in the Huon area today with ABear71. What a surprise, loved the hide. Bear made the find. We then drove back down to the river and had a picnic lunch there - lovely way to spend a Sunday. Thanks, SSR, for the trouble you have gone to with creating this cache and thanks for placing it here in such a scenic location.

Today our plan was to cache along the Plenty Valley Rd and this was one we detoured on our journey to find. Enjoyed the drive and scenery along this road that we had not traversed before. Thanks for bringing us to a new location. We love exploring these back roads. Fished this one out - cache and contents in good condition.
Many thanks SSR for publishing this cache and adding to our geocaching experience.

Thanks for the cache stainless-steel-rat. Out today with RLD4963 and the GeoGSP. Neither of us had ever driven along this road before, so it was all a new experience for us (the GeoGSP is not allowed to drive, but he is very good putting his head out of the wind with his tongue hanging out ). Really enjoyed the drive along this road, the forest is beautiful, and I spotted a great place to go camping on the drive in. Thanks for a different kind of hide, all is good with the cache. cheers.

Out and about with the Rafas for the summer GCA game, New Years Day caching with god company. Driving on a new road to me as I have never been out this way before. Nice views towards the middle section but concentrating on driving so missing some of the views. easy find with clues. TFTC TNLN log dry.

No issue finding this one as I was here as this creation came together. I was pleased with how this turned out and the recommendations show it was well received.
A fun cached that should see plenty of enjoyment.

After finding the Old Giant cache we continued up the road to this one. Our All Wheel Drive was handling the road with ease and we were enjoying the trees and the view across the valley as we went.
Mrs Y'stassie went to look for this one and gasped when she saw the size of the drop beside the hide. Accurate coordinates took her to the top were she found a tool waiting. This greatly assisted retrieval of the cache container. Container and contents were in good condition. We added our names to the log and returned the cache to its hide.
Thanks for a simple but excellently constructed hide Stainless-Steel-Rat reminiscent of Ding, Dong, Dell.

After finding nine newly published caches on the Plenty Link Road we decided to head further west as what is another few km to add to our 200 km round trip to find more newly published caches and this was the eleventh GCA on our list. We haven't been in this area for years. A pleasant drive. Accurate coords and hint led to a quick find (thankfully) as it had Mr W worried to start with, and Mrs W wasn't doing the retrieving as her arms weren't long enough. TFTC

Hi stainless
Had received notice that one of my caches may have gone so went to check on it today - all fixed now
However, the truth is - some new caches were available and the temptation was too great!
The six done on the track between HOOTERS and the VALLEY OF LOVE, these two were left for a later time. Lunch with Mum and Anne, logged this morning's finds and .... temptation got the better of me again. The cache mobile was warmed up again and off I go..
Any way, got to and logged this one at...
Sainted at 11605 hours with a quick find.
Had no trouble climbing in to retrieve the cache and sign the log but getting out was another problem. Luckily I'd assessed the situation prior to descending in to the deep hole and had set up a rope from the back of the car to help me get out!!! All good though, enjoyed the challenge and loved the cache
Clean sheet for a *FTF* - thank you
TFTC, and cheers
