Day 83 of our greynomad trip up north from Vic, after a the JLWEvents in Wudinna SA, a tour of Maralinga and caching to claim LGAs in the Eyre Peninsula, through to Alice Springs, Uluru, Darwin, Kakadu and Litchfield we continue our journey back south. It is also day 82 of a streak, so we are keeping it rolling, I think my numbers are right because right now I'm not sure, at least gcdotcom does.
Staying in Mt Isa for a few nights and having a day of caching today. That was a workout uncovering the cache from the obvious hide 13 rocks (that are quite heavy up here), 1 lizard and 8 pieces of wood before I had the container in hand. Contents in good condition.

My main mission today was to collect both a GC and a GCA cache in the Boulia LGA. I enlisted TG47 as my chauffeur and we headed south across the "border". We continued past this cache deciding to pick it up on the way back so that we could park almost next to the cache.
This we did and it took no time at all to find, sign and replace the log. Where would I be if Tassie Trekkers hadn't done numerous laps of the North Island over the years.

Travelling from Dajarra Dam today, to Mt Isa we were pleased to be able break the journey by stopping for this cache.
Cache in good condition.

Holidaying in the Isa again for Christmas. WillPunkey wanted to go for a drive to find some rocks for his collection so we came out this road as apparently there used to be a Granite mine somewhere out here. What a silly idea to be wandering around in the heat on a day like this with the official temp of 44 degrees.
I logged onto GCA to get the coords to check on my cache on this road and was exited to see that there was a new hide out here, even more interesting was that it was still unfound after 6 months.
We located the cache and left our mark before travelling back to town for a well earned drink.
Thanks Tassie Trekkers
