Description
On Forest Hill Road where the road ends and there is only a place to turn around your journey would in the past have terminated at this point.
But now you will find a casement on the right that leads to Coastal Reserve, a small area that stretches between the Southern fence line and Mays Beach to the North.
This casement has a well-worn clear path that is sandy to start with, as it winds its way in between the fences South and North of the path for just over 600m before you reach the reserve where you will be treated to a view of Frederick Henry Bay.
This cache is hidden within the Coastal Reserve with some great views to the East.
Parking can be found at S42 55.912 E147 31.100

How to fill a couple of free hours on such a lovely afternoon? Look around for a few caches to do of course! We did the first couple of caches on this track a couple of years ago and decided we'd do the rest finally. A very pleasant walk in the bush and then along the brow of the hill, then a fairly quick find by mr sharnie's tribe. Thanks for the cache
While out collecting caches in this area we were fortunate enough to see a pod of dolphins very close to the shore. Thanks for bringing us to this area. TFTC
While Mr Beetle waited at the corner near #2 I continued down the track towards this one. Had to leave the track and bush bash uphill for a few metres to get to GZ but once there a quick find was made in the obvious place.
Just one more to get and then back to the corner where Mr Beetle was waiting and we checked out this incredible house before returning to the car. What great views the owner muggles have.
Thanks.

A short scramble up the bank and a quick find. A stunning day to be walking along this track taking in the views. TFTC

Hi Stainless-Steel-Rat, thanks for the cache, the walk and the views.
I looked in a few places, before the GPSr settled and pointed me to the right spot. A little while between finds, but all is well at GZ.
I needed to do a drop-off and pick-(back)-up at Orana today, with about 90 minutes in between - so I decided to walk out this way, as I've not been here before, and there are a few GA and GC caches hereabouts.
Thanks for the adventure; cheers, EPs.

Out for a small walk with the CO to find a few caches in this reserve. I might have been here when the cache was placed so may not have needed my GPS to find GZ.
We noticed a lot of branches had been dumped near GZ but still easy to access the area

out and about with 1 Rafa caching back a second time for the GCA caches for the summer Game. TFTC TNLN log dry
Sorry - cut and paste logs from here (I guess that's what power trails are asking for).
Very pleasant track for walking (today) or riding (last time round).
Straightforward finds in sensible hides.
The dog over the fence was very interested in my activity.
Thanks.

Journey or Destination
Game Period: 01-Dec-2018 00:00:00 to 31-Jan-2019 23:59:59 AEST
It is sometimes said [citation needed] that the game of geocaching is not about the destination it is about the journey. This game is about the choices you make in the experience of the journey or the destination.
On your entry to the game you will be asked to create a playing field with a number of ground tiles. Your playing field is a grid 20 x 20 ground tiles making a total number of 400 possible steps you can take on your journey or destination. You choose whether you want to find and follow the path or whether you wanted to meander around. A playing field is unique to each player so there is no benefit in teaming up to beat the system through brute force.
For each qualifying geocache that you hide or find during the game period you will be offered the opportunity to click on a ground tile and reveal what lies beneath. There are a number of different ground tiles that will be revealed when you click on your playing field. It should be noted that there are no punishments for clicking a tile but there will not always be the reward you were hoping for as you reveal each tile.
Dirt. The ground beneath the ground tile is just plain old brown dirt.
Dirt with some points. The ground beneath the tile is brown dirt but it has some points associated with it.
Concrete. The ground beneath is part of the pathway that will lead you on your way to your destination but has no point value.
Start. A concrete ground tile that has a blue map marker.
Destination. A ground tile that has a green map marker.
Meandering around and avoiding the path will accumulate points that will be used to place on you the ladder of wanderers. The more you stay off the path the higher the number of points you will accumulate and it will be your journey that will be the determining factor in whether you place into a prize winning position. You are free to select any ground tile to click on; they do not need to be next to each other.
Trying to find the path may mean you strike out on the dirt until you eventually come across the path and as a geocacher who can't say that this isn't a tried and true method. Once you find the path however will you try and follow the path as it changes direction around your playing field? Do you go North, South, East or West to try and find the next concrete tile along the path? If you head one way are you heading towards the start or towards the destination? When you do happen upon the destination tile then you will automatically be in a winning position.
At any point you are free to change from the journey to the destination and vice versa but you won't be able to regenerate your playing field. You are also free to keep playing as long as you have qualifying geocaches, accumulating more and more dirt tile points and placing you higher and higher on the ladder.
Qualifying geocaches fall into two categories. Finds and Hides.
A qualifying find is a geocache that meets the following criteria:
The geocache is listed at Geocaching Australia
The geocache has a hidden date prior to the game commencing
The geocache was logged by you on the Geocaching Australia website during the game period
The geocache was physically found by you during the game period
The geocache is not owned by you unless it is a moveable geocache
The geocache has not previously been found by you during the game period
The geocache is one of the following types:
Burke and Wills
Moveable (you will qualify only once for a find on a moveable geocache)
Traditional
TrigPoint
Augmented Reality
Beacon
Gadget
Multi-cache
Night Cache
Podcache
Reverse
Unknown or Mystery
A qualifying hide is a geocache that meets the following criteria:
The geocache is listed at Geocaching Australia
The geocache has a hidden date after the game has commenced
The geocache was published on the Geocaching Australia website during the game period
The geocache has a container size of regular or larger (Note: A regular geocache has a volume of 1 litre or more)
The geocache is one of the following types:
Moveable
Traditional
Augmented Reality
Beacon
Gadget
Multi-cache
Night Cache
Podcache
Reverse
Unknown or Mystery
The game tracking mechanism relies upon your honesty when logging geocaches as found or hidden.
The games administrators will undertake verification of a statistically significant number of logs.
Players who continually log inaccurate information will be disqualified from the game. The game administrators decision is final.
The game administrators will subtract qualifying hide or find geocaches from your tally if they are found to be not genuine.
The game administrators reserve the right to provide clarifications to the rules at any point during the game.
Don't forget to claim your limited time game trophies, if your qualify, while the game is in progress. Once the game completes the ability to claim your trophies is lost for ever.

Hello stainless-steel-rat thanks for the cache
Thanks for bringing me here.
I did like the fences near GZ a bit like the Berlin wall with no mans in-between them.

We really enjoyed our walk in this reserve as the skies were clear and there waas a good variety of caches to find. We made our way along an animal track from the previous cache which proved to be a more gentle approach. Good coordinates enabled a quick find. Container and contents were in good condition and the view was pleasant.
Thanks for another GCA cache Stainless-Steel-Rat. We do enjoy the effort you make to place great containers.

Thanks for the cache Stainless=Steel-Rat. What a great winter's afternoon to be out caching - clear blue skies, and just enough warmth in the sun that I could leave my beanie at home. I've often wanted to venture down this track to see where it went, so was really pleased to see a bunch of caches published along this trail. The GeoGSP and I had a lovely walk - and we passed quite a few punters on our trip! This was a nice easy find - Cheers.

Hi stainless
Three caches found on the track so far - from the third, I cut through the 'bush' to get to this one; tricky in places where it was slippery
Good co-ordinates made for a fast find
However; I did look at the clue (even though it was not needed) and wondered whose head - Rat's or Goose's - either way I thought, the cache won't be far from the ground! So; it proved to be - in all probability, it was Stainless's
Loved the spray job on the cache container
Sainted the cache at 1110 hours
Now off to the next one
TFTC and cheers

**FTF** 8.20am
After deciding to complete some FTF for GC caches happened to look at the phone and see 2 GCA caches in the same area so decided "why, not".
Complete the FTF run in GC caches and then after getting a great view of the coast and a rising sun returned to this cache. Put hand straight on it and delighted with another blank page.

2nd to find. Nice to see another local GC cacher finding GCA caches. We saw lots of new cache emails when we awoke so thought we would head out to find the new caches on this new Coastal Reserve track. Since we were last here a few years ago access was through the road now marked private as it was a shared right of way to the track up the hill (which now has a lock on it). It is nice to see a direct route opened up without having to worry if you are on private property. Thanks for placing another lot of caches in a very scenic area. A great view from the top. The locals must be paranoid. They have a fantastic view but have put up a huge fence! TFTC
