Description
Close to the NSW/Qld border is the rural village of Hebel.
Have you ever been to Hebel
Where it blows and blows and blows
And barring goats and bottletops
Nothing ever grows.
The heatwaves in the summer
Make the red plains shine like glass
And there's seldom any water
And there's seldom any grass.
Poem by Jim Harper
The cache is an eclipse tin painted to fit its surroundings.
Congratulations sylken - FTF

Logs
We were on a day trip from Lightning Ridge and stopped here for lunch all good with the cache FTF
#GA5590 - 11:00; Day two of the Townsville Mega adventure with Sol de lune. The plan for the day is to cache our way north Walgett on a round about route via Lightning Ridge, Hebel, Diranbandi, St George and Moonie on to Surat. Plenty of water lying around and flowing down the Balonne River. Luckily we avoided any road closures, unlike our previous foray north when we had an unanticipated night in Goondawindi, but that's a whole other story. No problems today as we collected caches along the way, including this one after we crossed the border. TFTC geono.

On the road to Townsville with LuckyL10n and stopped for this one. Zoned in on GZ and the cache was found neatly tucked away. Log was signed, cache returned and we were off up the road....just in case the road was closed....
Thanks Geono. See you in Townsville????

Day 18 of our outback adventure which included QOGM 2019. Back into NSW today and really travelled further than I anticipated - St George to Dubbo. Will spend a couple of nights here and decide where to from here.
A little divergence into Lightning Ridge and ran into someone Greg went to school with while we looked at opals.ing.
Thank goodness for GCA caches as the journey would have been quite bor

Travelling north at last to get away from the chilly south. It is my fault that we are so late this year as I wanted to attend the Ozgeomuster Mega event. We camped not far down the road last night and this was going to be one of only two cache finds for me today, so Pa had no difficulty in agreeing to stop so early in the day for me. He unfortunately was not so generous in the time allowed for the find and exploration of the area. It was a quick find, I love the camo, and in no time my name was added to the log and the cache returned to its hidey hole. I will have to return another time to fread up. TFTC Geono. Geat placement for a cache.

Cairns trip 2019. Day 2. Today was shorter and took in Coonamble, Walagett and Lightning Ridge. I\'ll have to revisit Lightning Ridge one day. There were plenty of interesting thing to look at here. The cache was a short distraction before a bigger explore.
Thanks
