Description
Adding Yarra to the Dragonzones.
The Yarra River has a detailed and complex geological history. It was utilised and managed sustainably by the Wurundjeri for around 40,000 years, however since the European settlement and use of the river in the mid-19th century, its geography has changed substantially reflecting the unsustainable use of the river and surrounding resources.
The river is fed by a number of small unnamed creeks and streams in the Yarra Ranges as well as 49 named tributaries, most of which are creeks.
The river's lower reaches travel through central Melbourne. It is approximately 242 kilometres (150 mi) in length, with a mean annual flow of 718 gigalitres (2.54×1010 cu ft), which is roughly 50% its original flow prior to damming.
It is the most westerly snow fed river in Australia. The total catchment area is approximately 4,000 square kilometres
Once upon time there were no Dragonzone caches in Yarra...
Now there is one hidden nearby...
Listen closely to find it:

Well doing a little research I notice this one will help me on the way to gold.
So with nothing to do this afternoon I was off to check out GZ.
Boy did I make hard work of it.
After an intitial search I revereted to the hint.
This put me in an even more confused state.
Then I noticed it had been found within the last 24hrs.
So I was sure it must still be here.
So back to the drawing board and digging a little deeper I was soon back on track.
I signed and wa on my way!
Time to shoot some hoops!

Oh, wow. I solved this challenge a little whiole ago but had not ventured out this way for amny reasons including COVID and a lack of other caches to find here, but today was the day to grab this, another GCA and another nearby GC.
This was a tricky find as the location had me about 5m away at the wrong tree, but after that was exhausted I looked around and checked the next closest location that could hide a geocache and ... bingo!
The cache is in great condition, perfectly dry and well hidden in it's location.
Took nothing, left nothing.
Thanks for this experience here. Not too many of this cache type around so ilt was nice to try for this one in the warm afternoon today.

Thanks n0w0rries.....great to see another Podcache out in the field of play.
I will review this decision on a regular basis over the coming weeks / months and reassess it as needs be.
Stay safe everyone, see you on the other side.

I took a bit of an overland trek to GZ given the terrain rating but once there, I had a squiz at the hint and was signing the log not long after at 10:35.
TNLNSL. Thanks n0w0rries.
doing a raiding mission from Tassie
thanks for the cache
We made our way round the beautiful parklands and headed to our calculated oordinates. Our GPS decided to go into a spin and took a long time to settle. Then we took a long time to locate the cache container - we just didn't search deeply enough. We sat nearby to sign the logbook and to admire the view across the water.
Thanks for this cache N0w0rries. We really enjoyed your first podcache and appreciate that you placed it in the Yarra dragonZone. This find will qualify us for both Melbourne Capitalist and Victoria Statesman Missions. And we really enjoyed our visit to this part of Melbourne as we had not been here before even though we do have some solved puzzles that have final coordinates not too far away.
I saw this one pop up but decided it was best not to do this morning in the dark. I'm glad I waited for daylight. I listened to the audio add did what was required to get the location for gz.
After a bit of a scramble and initially checking the wrong spot, I had the well hidden container in hand.
Thanks N0w0rries for the cache and nice effort on the different type.
