Description
Meet some locals.
This installation is a collaborative work by a number of Larrakia Nation people which sets out to show the fauna of the Lee Point area. At 4 metres across and 1.5metres high, the mozaic clad turtle commands attention, but don't miss the other creatures depicted here.
You can get here on a walking and cycling path, and it's close to easy parking if you come by car.
To log this cache, please include a photo of yourself or your GPS with at least one of the animals in the photo, or a screenshot of your location, at GZ.

Day 68 of our greynomad trip up north from Vic, after a the JLWEvents in Wudinna SA, a tour of Maralinga and caching to claim LGAs in the Eyre Peninsula, through to Allice Springs, Uluru and now Nth NT, we have finally escaped the southern weather that has been wet and windy. Not sure that we are acclimatised to the northern heat yet as we are feeling it by early afternoon, but out sightseeing and caching in the morning. It is also day 67 of a streak, so we would like to keep it rolling.
Took hubby to go crabbing today and my goal is to find the cache types required for this months challenge.

Snapped a pic whilst in the area, which has been added to the gallery.

I've mostly been using GeoCaching rather than GA, found out about GA and thought I'd give it a go. I knew I had taken a photo of this a while back - it has one of my TB's on the turtle's head.
